As forecast, the November, 2010 elections were an overwhelming victory for Republicans, with a pickup of at least sixty seats in the House, six seats in the Senate and twelve state governorships. It was more than a victory; it was the biggest political blowout in sixty years. The Republican blowout increased the Republican-controlled governorships to 30. Over 500 legislative seats also went from Democrat to Republican, giving Republicans control of more than 20 new chambers and more seats than anytime since 1928.
Many conservatives are disappointed that the Republicans did not take the majority in the Senate. However, the failure to gain control of the Senate was certainly not surprising. The majority of Senate seats up for grab in 2010 were in predominantly strong Democratic states like New York and California. As explained later, the lack of control in the Senate will work for the Republicans
From a purely political point of view, the importance of the 2010 Midterm Republican blowout cannot be overstated. It was a major victory for the American people. However, it would be a big mistake, to think the threat of overspending and big government is over and we can go back to sleep. That is exactly what the global elite want. Twentieth Century historian Carroll Quigley wrote in Tragedy and Hope that the elite manipulate elections in order to keep “the two parties almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.” The elite have successfully done that for nearly a hundred years.
The 2010 election has broken that cycle and clearly shows how quickly Americans can break the power of those who have worked to control us for a hundred years. The people are waking up and becoming educated after decades of deliberate efforts to dumb them down. The momentum must be maintained, helping even more people to understand what is happening so that solid constitutionally oriented candidates can run and be elected in 2012.
The problem is not the Democrats per se; it is the progressive ideology that has taken over the Democrat Party. The progressive ideology is still alive and its cancer is still permeates political leadership. As I predicted in Rescuing a Broken America, most of the elected Republicans in 2010 haven't got a clue about the real threat to America. With the exception of a few Tea Party candidates and perhaps Democrat Joe Manchin (WV), the Republican victory is politics as usual; Republicans won, Democrats lost.
What is still not understood by political leaders and the American people is that the real threat has never been about Republicans or Democrats; it is about the progressive cancer infecting both political parties. Some of the 2010 Republican victors are even progressives themselves. That is how the elite have been able to continue their agenda regardless of which party was in control. The progressive machine may have suffered a setback in 2010, but they are still deeply entrenched and continue to work to destroy the U.S. Constitution so their ideology can rule over every American.
The progressives are well funded by globalists like multi-billionaire George Soros and others in the international financial cartel. They have been planning for a hundred years to create a world government with themselves at the helm. The Republican victory is merely a temporary setback to them. They have had setbacks before, but have always bounce back stronger and with their agenda more advanced than before. They have already regrouped and plan to use the Republican victory as a springboard to defeat conservatives in 2012 and 2014. Once it became obvious that the Republicans would sweep the 2010 elections, Soros and others have spent tens of millions of dollars funding progressive organizations to discredit elected conservatives and cause them to fail.
Over the next two years the elite will use the progressive media to systematically blame the Republicans for the inevitable Congressional deadlock and increasing economic hardships that the American people will be facing. It has already been planned. Even while funding progressives, Soros has orchestrated a plan to systematically devalue the U.S. dollar. The first step of this plan was initiated the day after the 2010 Midterm elections when the U.S. Federal Reserve announced a plan to monetize the U.S. National Debt. The Fed will create out of thin air another $600 billion to inject into the U.S. economy over an eight month period.
Representative Michelle Bachman (R-MN) pleaded with the Fed not to monetize the debt, claiming the Fed's plan will "spike inflation." Her concern was repeated by Kansas City Fed President Thomas Hoenig who claimed this monetization will increase long-term inflation. These fears are justified. Analysts are unanimous in stating the action will debase the dollar by 20 percent over the next couple of years. Worse, it could precipitate hyperinflation. That happened to the Vimar (Weimar) Republic following WWI, which eventually allowed Adolf Hitler to come into power. If that happens in the U.S., the resulting chaos will provided the perfect conditions to implement a global currency and create global governance. The structural framework for this has been quietly established over the past several decades.
Even if the dollar debasement does not cause hyperinflation and chaos, everyone will suffer from high inflation, perhaps severely. As usual, those hurt the most will be seniors and the poor. President Obama and the newly re-elected Harry Reid will offer fine-sounding progressive legislative solutions to a woefully ignorant and increasingly desperate population. Needless to say, the Republican majority in the House will refuse to pass the progressive legislation, creating deadlock. The ever-faithful progressive media will then extol the progressive agenda and blame the Republicans for the pain inflicted on the American people. The progressives have a long track record of shifting blame from the true villains (themselves) to other hapless victims.
This scenario is but one of a host of attacks planned for the Republican Congress. Unfortunately, most pundits have the naïve hope that President Obama will follow the example of President Clinton after the Republican rout of 1994 when he moved to the center politically. That's not likely with Obama because Obama absolutely believes what (he) is doing is right.
