According to the RSS satellite data, whose value for April 2014 is just in, the global warming trend in the 17 years 9 months since August 1996 is zero. The 212 months without global warming represents more than half the 423-month satellite data record, which began in January 1979. No one now in high school has lived through global warming.

The long Pause may well come to an end by this winter, when an el Niño event is expected in the equatorial eastern Pacific, causing global temperature to rise quite sharply. The el Niños of 1998, 2007, and 2010 are visible in the graph. El Niños occur about every three or four years, though no one is entirely sure what triggers them. They cause a temporary spike in temperature, often followed by a sharp drop during the la Niña phase, as can be seen in 1999, 2008, and 2011-2012, where there was a “double-dip” la Niña.

The ratio of el Niños to la Niñas tends to fall during the 30-year negative or cooling phases of the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, the latest of which began in late 2001. So, though the Pause may pause for a few months at the turn of the year, it may well resume late in 2015.

Either way, it is ever clearer that global warming has not been happening at anything like the rate predicted by the climate models, and is not at all likely to occur even at the much-reduced rate now predicted. There could be as little as 1 Cº global warming this century, not the 3-4 Cº predicted by the IPCC.

Key facts about global temperature: 

• The RSS satellite dataset shows no global warming at all for 213 months from August 1996 to April 2014. That is more than half the entire 423-month satellite record.
• The fastest centennial warming rate was in Central England from 1663-1762, at 0.9 Cº per century – before the industrial revolution began. It cannot have been our fault.
• The global warming trend since 1900 is equivalent to 0.8 Cº per century. This is well within natural variability and may not have much to do with us.
• The fastest warming trend lasting ten years or more occurred over the 40 years from 1694-1733 in Central England. It was equivalent to 4.3 Cº per century.
• Since 1950, when a human influence on global temperature first became theoretically possible, the global warming trend is equivalent to 1.2 Cº per century.
• The fastest warming rate lasting ten years or more since 1950 occurred over the 33 years from 1974 to 2006. It was equivalent to 2.0 Cº per century.
• In 1990, the IPCC’s mid-range prediction of the near-term warming trend was equivalent to 3.5 Cº per century.
• The global warming trend since 1990, when the IPCC wrote its first report, is equivalent to 1.4 Cº per century – two-fifths of what the IPCC had then predicted.
• In 2013 the IPCC’s new mid-range prediction of the near-term warming trend was for warming at a rate equivalent to 1.7 Cº per century – just half its 1990 prediction.
• Though the IPCC has cut its near-term warming prediction, it has not cut its centennial warming prediction of 3.7 Cº warming to 2100 on business as usual.
• The IPCC’s prediction of 3.7 Cº warming by 2100 is more than twice the greatest rate of warming lasting more than ten years that has been measured since 1950.
• The IPCC’s 3.7 Cº-by-2100 prediction is more than three times the observed real-world warming trend since we might in theory have begun influencing it in 1950.
• Since 1 January 2001, the dawn of the new millennium, the warming trend on the dataset of five major datasets is zero – 0.0 Cº per century. No warming for 13 years 3 months.
• Recent extreme weather cannot be blamed on global warming, because there has not been any global warming. It is as simple as that.

Terrestrial temperatures are measured by thermometers. Thermometers correctly sited in rural areas away from manmade heat sources show warming rates appreciably below those that are published. The satellite datasets are based on measurements made by the most accurate thermometers available – platinum resistance thermometers, which not only measure temperature at various altitudes above the Earth’s surface via microwave sounding units but also constantly calibrate themselves by measuring via spaceward mirrors the known temperature of the cosmic background radiation, which is 1% of the freezing point of water, or just 2.73 degrees above absolute zero. It was by measuring minuscule variations in the cosmic background radiation that the NASA anisotropy probe determined the age of the Universe: 13.82 billion years.

The graph is accurate. The data are lifted monthly straight from the RSS website. A computer algorithm reads them down from the text file, takes their mean and plots them automatically using an advanced routine that automatically adjusts the aspect ratio of the data window at both axes so as to show the data at maximum scale, for clarity.

The latest monthly data point is visually inspected to ensure that it has been correctly positioned. The light blue trend line plotted across the dark blue spline-curve that shows the actual data is determined by the method of least-squares linear regression, which calculates the y-intercept and slope of the line via two well-established and functionally identical equations that are compared with one another to ensure no discrepancy between them. The IPCC and most other agencies use linear regression to determine global temperature trends. Interestingly, Professor Phil Jones of the University of East Anglia recommends it in one of the Climategate emails.

Dr Stephen Farish, Professor of Epidemiological Statistics at the University of Melbourne, kindly verified the reliability of the algorithm that determines the trend on the graph and the correlation coefficient, which is very low because the data are highly variable and the trend is flat.

Most of the “the golden state” is now parched, baked and dried far beyond any historical precedent. Reservoirs are nearly empty, streams are drying up, and forests are dying by the day. Catastrophic fires will also continue to decimate California due to the engineered drought.

Much of the state went through all of 2013 with no significant rain. Why? What will it take to wake people up to the “weather warfare” being waged on them? Geoengineering reduces overall global rainfall totals (though it can also trigger regions of torrential flooding). Intentionally caused drought is weather warfare, period. There is a great deal of disinformation out there already and its getting worse by the day. Even some of the biggest “alternative news sites” are helping to “tow the line” for the global elite by putting out articles on drought and “global cooling” which make no mention of the climate engineering at all. Yet, on the other hand, these same “news sites” claim to be aware of climate engineering and they say they are against it. Which is it? How can they be aware of the geoengineering programs and yet put out climate article after climate article without so much as mentioning the elephant in the room that is climate engineering? The articles from these “alternative media sites are even claiming all the chaotic weather is just “normal cycles”. This is exactly what corporate media does, so who’s side are these alternative media sites on? How is it possible that any weather in a completely engineered climate system is “normal”?

Is This The End Of The Road?

Many are finally beginning to wake up to the fact that the something is very wrong with the weather. Many are finally realizing something profound is happening in our skies. Some are now finally making the decision to get involved with the fight to raise awareness of the lethal climate engineering programs, but are we already too late?

Have the geoengineers already pushed Earth’s natural systems past the point of no return? Based on all available data, the answer is very likely yes. The damage already done to our planet from anthropogenic activity, which includes geoengineering, has guaranteed us a planet that is much less hospitable than the one we have known. However difficult the future looks, we could yet perhaps preserve the planet’s ability to support life if we can stop climate engineering. This battle must be won or all will be lost.

No Natural Weather

It is imperative that we all work together toward the goal of making the population as a whole understand that virtually all their “weather” is being completely manipulated. That there is NO NATURAL WEATHER at this point. That we are all the victims of “weather warfare” and many of us will soon be climate refugees if we are not able to bring the climate engineering to light and to a halt. On top of all this we are all literally being poisoned by the toxic metal fallout from these programs, but that’s another story.

The recent NOAA map above illustrates an unprecedented pattern of precipitation or lack thereof. Almost the entire country is shown at above normal precipitation while California looks like it has a virtual “bullseye” of below normal rainfall predicted (scheduled). One can draw their own conclusions from this map, does this pattern really look natural?

The true severity of the drought in the west is not accurately reflected in the “drought monitor” map above. The actual conditions on the ground are much much worse as California has been descending into ever worsening drought for 7 years now. This season to date there has been no significant rain at all. 

HAARP ionosphere heating facility in Alaska. There are numerous ionosphere heating installations around the globe that are used to manipulate the jet stream into historically unprecedented patterns. The manipulated jet stream is one of several primary factors relating to the climate chaos now being inflicted on planet Earth.

With the combination of constant aerosol spraying and ionosphere heater utilization (HAARP) the climate engineers have effectively cut off the flow of moisture to the state of California. Why? There are likely a number of probable reasons. First, California is possibly a climate “sacrifice zone”. This means that California is collateral damage for the constant parade of engineered snow storms being whipped up further east in the US. The rain blocking high pressure ridge that the climate engineers have locked in place over the western US and the eastern Pacific pushes the jet stream straight north, carrying the moisture with it before rain can come anywhere near California. This moisture then travels as far as Alaska and the Arctic.  The jet is then turned back south as it wraps clockwise around the HAARP/ionosphere heater created dome of high pressure. Then, it is pumped all the way down to the southern US carrying heavily sprayed and chemically ice nucleated moisture with it which enhances the artificial cool down of the eastern US.

                                                                                         

Another part of the puzzle is likely this, a population that has no water and can not grow any food does not tend to be in a position to effectively protest the crimes of it’s government. California has historically grown so much food for the nation that the catastrophic drought has very far reaching ramifications. Control the food supply and you control the population. There is also the growing effort by the government to take control of water rights in California and other regions in the west. The climate engineers literally have California by the throat and it does not appear they are going to let go anytime soon. The weather makers can drought California into a desert from top to bottom, we are well on our way to this already. Forests that were green and lush only ten years ago are now wilting, withering, and in many places have already died. In addition to the almost total lack of rain in California caused by the climate manipulation, the jet sprayed aerosols utilized in the geoengineering programs are desiccants. These are materials that adhere to all available moisture in the atmosphere creating very low humidity on the ground under many conditions which further dries out the already parched state. Now lets add the constant record high temperatures that often go along with consistent high pressure. All things considered, its a recipe for creating a dust bowl out of a once beautiful state. Its a method for bringing the population of this state to their knees.

Where Are The Geoengineers Concentrating Their Efforts,
And How Cool Are They Making The Planet Overall?

The NASA temperature analysis map above should make clear where the climate engineers are most focused in their efforts to create a “cool down”. This map illustrates recent temperature trends as compared to the 30 year average. The NASA map clearly shows the only “cooler” places on the planet compared to the long term average. These areas of below normal temperatures are a direct result of massive geoengineering efforts such as those described above. If the temperature variations on this map seem unnatural, they are. Though the US media is trying frantically to convince its population (with considerable success) that the world is in a deep freeze, this is patently false from a global perspective. The radical swings in temperatures and conditions will persist and worsen as the climate engineers literally tear Earth’s natural life support systems apart. The climate engineers can and are radically cooling huge areas, but at the cost of a greatly worsened overall warming and a completely decimated climate system.

What Can We Do?

Everyone can and must help with this all important battle. All must get up off the bench and assist in the critical effort to raise awareness. Get organized with others in your community. Get educated (this means examining real data, not headlines), get credible information to hand out, hold viewings of documentary films like “Look Up” from film maker George Barnes, do whatever it takes to sound the alarm. If we can simply bring the climate engineering crimes to the light of day, and reach critical mass of awareness, the dominos that keep these programs in operation will start to fall.

John Holdren , Obama’s Science Adviser believes that geo-engineering will assist the planet is stabilizing its weather with regard to global warming.

Holdren sees geo-engineering as a perfectly viable way to cool the planet’s temperature. He fully supports the process of releasing particles of barium, magnesium, aluminum, nano-fibers, bacillus blood spores and other chemicals to reflect sunlight away from the Earth.

In an article released in the Council of Foreign Relations Journal by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the organization praised the use of heavy metals into our atmosphere to combat global warming. This reasoning is a hoax, considering that man-made climate change is a lie perpetrated onto the world’s populations by the global Elite and the UN’s IPCC. Scientists worldwide have come to the fact that the sun is heating up not only our Earth, but all the planets in our solar system.

The National Institute of Health has found that geo-engineering is directly responsible for neurotoxins found in human blood, lungs; as well as causing a whole host of neurotoxic conditions such as multiple sclerosis.
Holdren is joining the man-made climate change alarmists who threaten that global warming will not be slowed down in time to reverse the imaginary “tipping point”. One of the claims is that the ice will completely melt in the Arctic; although scientific researchers show that this is blatantly untrue.

A Syracuse University study found that climate change is natural and not caused by man.

The researchers studied the Earth’s heat cycles over 1,000 years in the past until now. They found:

•  Earth is actually cooling
• Arctic ice is not melting
• CO2 is not the cause for the extreme weather changes recently seen

Holdren blames human emissions of CO2 as responsible for droughts, food storage shortages, and rising sea levels, along with the extreme weather we have recently seen.

Holdren is not alone in perpetrating this hoax.

The American Meteorological Society is devising a policy statement that will support this lie by saying that “it is prudent to consider geo-engineering’s potential, to understand its limits and to avoid rash deployment.”
Robert Socolow, a Princeton scientist, told the National Academy that geo-engineering should be a readily made viable option in case climate worsens dramatically.

While sound scientific data shows that CO2 is not the problem, other viable perpetrators are ignored. Geo-engineering itself is grossly detrimental to the atmosphere and a direct causation to the major changes we have witnessed in modern decades.

Holdren is upholding Obama’s goal of cutting greenhouse emissions 20% by 2020 and 80% by 2050.
Members of Congress are showing signs of opposing Obama’s bill to achieve this goal.

Holdren’s recent statement is obvious fear-mongering propaganda designed to coerce Capitol Hill and the American public of “truths” surmised by unscientific data.

Former fellow of George Soros’ Open Society and current Stanford University scholar Evgeny Morozov has called on Google and other search engines to become thought crime enforcers, by providing warnings about websites that contain “conspiracy theories” such as the belief, held by a majority of Americans, that global warming is not primarily man-made.

Morozov, whose biography confirms him as a well-connected insider, decries in a Slate piece how the Internet is a useful tool for “People who deny global warming” as well as “the anti-vaccination movement,” calling on Google to provide a “socially responsible curated treatment” that would marginalize such beliefs by amending search results.

Meet the White Obama

Mitt Romney, the establishment declared GOP front-runner, is the white Obama. He earns this title because on crucial issues he mirrors Barack Obama. Consider:

Climate agenda and carbon taxes:
He has stated that the theory of anthropogenic global warming is real. In 2005, as governor of Massachusetts, Romney imposed strict state limitations on carbon dioxide emissions from power plants. In a memo issued by Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kerry Hale, the Romney administration bragged that it was "the first and only state to set CO 2 emissions limits on power plants."

In short, Romney did what Obama's EPA wants to do now. It is revealing that Romney was advised on this drastic step by none other than Obama's chief science adviser, John Holdren.3

In his book, No Apology, Romney advocates carbon taxes through a "tax-swap plan" and declares that resultant "higher energy prices would encourage energy efficiency." The plan is favored by economist and Romney adviser Greg Mankiw and many other "Republican-leaning economists." In 2007, Mankiw wrote an op-ed for the New York Times entitled "One Answer to Global Warming: A New Tax." He wrote that "if we want to reduce global emissions of carbon, we need a global carbon tax."

Obama also wants to push a carbon tax on the American people and declared his intention to do so before he took office. "President elect Barack Obama used his speech at a Los Angeles summit last night to reinvigorate a push for the revival of a frightening proposal to slash carbon emissions by 80 per cent, a move that would inflict a new Great Depression, cost millions of jobs, and sink America to near third world status," Paul Joseph Watson wrote on November 19, 2008.

Obama's agenda to cut carbon emissions by 80 per cent fits right into the globalist plan to attain the ultimate civilization-killing goal of zero carbon emissions, as espoused by the Carnegie Institute.

Romneycare:
In December, Romney told Fox News that he stands by the health care at gunpoint plan implemented while he was governor of Massachusetts. "The plan is not perfect, there are things that I'd change in it, but I'll stand by the things we've done," he said, defending the plan.
 
Obama and the Democrats were so enthralled with Romney's statist health care boondoggle, they based their plan on it.

"Newly obtained White House records provide fresh details on how senior Obama administration officials used Mitt Romney's landmark health-care law in Massachusetts as a model for the new federal law, including recruiting some of Romney's own health care advisers and experts to help craft the act," NBC reported last October.

Abortion:
Like a good Demopublican, Romney supported a woman's "right" to kill her fetus,“ that is before, as a "conservative," he changed his mind “ or as it is usually called, he flip-flopped on the issue.

He was so adamant about abortion, he attended a Planned Parenthood fundraiser in 2004, but now supports the Pence amendment sponsored by Indiana Republican Rep. Mike Pence aimed at eliminating all Title X grants for Planned Parenthood. He even instituted tax-funded abortion on demand two years after his orchestrated "pro-life" conversion.

Obama, of course, is "pro-choice" and has appointed a number of outspoken pro-abortion advocates to his administration. If elected, no doubt Romney will do the same.

Illegal immigration:
Mitt claims to oppose illegal immigration, but does not advocate sending illegals back – or, apparently, even arresting them for breaking the law.

"Those people that are here illegally today should have the opportunity to register and to have their status identified," he said in November.

He said nothing about illegal immigrants paying back taxes, learning English, not having criminal records, or being deported and going through legal channels for immigration.

Romney sounds a lot like Obama, who said: "I think most Americans feel there should be an orderly process to do it. People shouldn't just be coming here and cutting in front of the line essentially and staying without having gone through the proper channels."

Mitt Romney is basically indistinguishable from Obama and supports the same globalist agenda, albeit with "conservative" flourishes. His flip-flopping on key issues is designed to make his pre-arranged agenda more palatable to so-called conservatives, who will naturally be hoodwinked as they are every election cycle.
If elected, Romney will become the white Obama. The only job requirement will be an ability to convincingly read a teleprompter and follow orders handed down form his globalist masters the same as his predecessor.

New EPA regulations would require 230,000 new bureaucrats to administer

The president has found a way to add jobs, after all — 230,000 of ‘em, all within the Environmental Protection Agency. That’s the number of new bureaucrats the federal government will need to hire to implement new proposed greenhouse gas regulations, according to a report by The Daily Caller:

The Environmental Protection Agency has said new greenhouse gas regulations, as proposed, may be “absurd” in application and “impossible to administer” by its self-imposed 2016 deadline. But the agency is still asking for taxpayers to shoulder the burden of up to 230,000 new bureaucrats — at a cost of $21 billion — to attempt to implement the rules.

The EPA aims to regulate greenhouse gas emissions through the Clean Air Act, even though the law doesn’t give the EPA explicit power to do so. The agency’s authority to move forward is being challenged in court by petitioners who argue that such a decision should be left for Congress to make.

The proposed regulations would set greenhouse gas emission thresholds above which businesses must file for an EPA permit and complete extra paperwork in order to continue operating. If the EPA wins its court battle and fully rolls out the greenhouse gas regulations, the number of businesses forced into this regulatory regime would grow tremendously — from approximately 14,000 now to as many as 6.1 million.

Keep in mind that the $21 billion figure doesn’t include the economic cost of the regulations themselves.

Armed Troops Burn Down Homes, Kill Children To Evict Ugandans In Name Of Global Warming

Neo-colonial land grabs carried out on behalf of World Bank-backed British company

Armed troops acting on behalf of a British carbon trading company backed by the World Bank burned houses to the ground and killed children to evict Ugandans from their homes in the name of seizing land to protect against “global warming,” a shocking illustration of how the climate change con is a barbarian form of neo-colonialism.

The evictions were ordered by New Forests Company, an outfit that seizes land in Africa to grow trees then sells the “carbon credits” on to transnational corporations. The company is backed by the World Bank and HSBC. Its Board of Directors includes HSBC Managing Director Sajjad Sabur, as well as other former Goldman Sachs investment bankers.

The company claims residents of Kicucula left in a “peaceful” and “voluntary” manner, and yet the people tell a story of terror and bloodshed.

Villagers told of how armed “security forces” stormed their village and torched houses, burning an eight-year-child to death as they threatened to murder anyone who resisted while beating others.

“We were in church,” recalled Jean-Marie Tushabe, 26, a father of two. “I heard bullets being shot into the air.”

“Cars were coming with police,” Mr. Tushabe said, sitting among the ruins of his old home. “They headed straight to the houses. They took our plates, cups, mattresses, bed, pillows. Then we saw them getting a matchbox out of their pockets.”

“But in this case, the government and the company said the settlers were illegal and evicted for a good cause: to protect the environment and help fight global warming,” reports the New York Times.

An Oxfam report documents how the British outfit has worked with the Ugandan government to forcibly expel over 20,000 people from their homes using terror and violence as part of a lucrative scramble for arable land that can be used to satisfy the multi-billion dollar carbon trading ponzi scheme, which is worth $1.8 million a year to the company.

“I no longer own any land. It’s impossible to feed my children – they have suffered so much. Some days all they eat is porridge from maize flour. When people can’t eat well their bodies become weak – there have been lots of cases of malaria and diarrhoea. Some days we don’t eat anything at all,” said former farmer Francis Longoli, whose land was stolen by New Forests.

As we have previously documented, the manufactured threat of man-made global warming is being used as a tool of neo-colonialism in the third world, not only through the seizure of land and infrastructure, thereby preventing poor nations from using their resources to develop, but by literally starving poverty-stricken people to death.

Climate change alarmism and implementation of global warming policies is a crime of the highest nature, because it is already having a genocidal impact in countries like Haiti, where the doubling of food prices is resulting in a substantial increase in starvation, poverty and death, with the population being forced to live on mud pies.

SMART GRID: TECHNOLOGY FOR “BIG BROTHER”

It’s not been two years since utility companies rolled out Smart
Grid, the massive project to restructure the nation’s electrical system, which includes replacing existing old analogue meters on homes and businesses with ones that transmit information by radio frequency. “Smart grid delivers electricity from suppliers to consumers using two-way digital technology to control appliances at consumers’ homes to save energy, reduce costs, and increase reliability and transparency.”

But despite glowing promises of energy savings and lower rates, the project from the outset has faced opposition from a public that does not want a technology that can “control appliances” from a point outside the home, and is increasingly alarmed by the threat the meters pose to health and privacy. And that opposition is growing.

“There is a major war being waged in this country, although you'd never know it by the silence from the old, disgraced media (ABC, CBS, NBC) and all the cable ‘news’ networks,” writes columnist Devvy Kidd in a recent report for NewsWithViews. “This new assault on our bodies and privacy is over another relatively new piece of technology that allegedly will save energy … When I say millions of Americans are up in arms over this, I am not exaggerating.”

Those millions of Americans come from all points on the political spectrum – conservative, libertarian, liberal, independent. Democrats and Republicans, tea partiers and progressives find themselves united against the local utility company and, ultimately, the U.S. Department of Energy, the lead agency for the project.

But apart from health and privacy issues, every taxpayer has reason for concern. Smart Grid doesn’t come cheap. Estimates vary as to cost and range from $100 Billion to $2.2 Trillion. In February 2010, the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) announced Smart Grid will cost $165 billion over the next 20 years.

“Governments, industry bodies, and electric utilities around the world are coming together with newfound urgency – spurred in some regions by copious amounts of economic stimulus funds – to stimulate the development of the Smart Grid,” reports Pike Research, a consulting firm specializing in analysis of “clean technology” markets.

All this, for something for which there is no consumer demand, but is driven by government fiat. Why this “newfound urgency”? What’s the hurry? Particularly at a time when economies around the world are in serious trouble.

Patrick Wood, co-founder of The August Institute and editor/publisher of The August Forecast and Review, may have discovered the answer; and he presented his findings this June at the California Eagle Forum in Sacramento. It was the group’s Tenth Annual State Conference, and the organizers chose for a theme: “Agenda 21 and Its Many Tentacles” – of which Smart Grid can certainly be regarded as one.

As described by Wikipedia: “Agenda 21 is the action plan of the United Nations related to sustainable development, and was an outcome of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. It is a comprehensive blueprint of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the UN, governments, and major groups in every area in which humans directly affect the environment.”

Wood titled his talk: How Agenda 21 Seeks to Implement Big Brother’s Technocracy Controls through Smart Meters, Smart Grids, and Smart Growth – which pretty well sums up his conclusions.

“Smart Grid enables control over energy (water and natural gas, too!), distribution and consumption, on a local, national and global basis,” Wood states on his webpage.

With its ability to continuously monitor electrical usage and control electrical devices in people’s homes, “Smart Grid is not just a new system for delivering electricity more efficiently; it’s the enablement of Technocracy,” he told his audience; and later: “It’s a subset of Technocracy.”

Technocracy?

Most participants at the conference were no doubt familiar with Smart Grid, particularly since California Eagle Forum President Orlean Koele has written and published a book detailing its many threats to health and privacy. But many of these same attendees appeared never to have heard of Technocracy. Which isn’t surprising: it was a movement that flourished during the early 1930s, only to disappear suddenly down the memory hole. Wood has written several articles on the subject -- including one in NWV – but watching images and power points projected onto a screen made his remarks particularly chilling, even for those who had read his reports.

It is Wood’s contention that although Technocracy as a movement died decades ago, the philosophy lived on behind the scenes at Columbia University where it had been founded, and today is being positioned as the replacement system for capitalism.

This would explain the sudden fervor to install a costly project like Smart Grid worldwide, and Wood mustered compelling information to bolster his arguments.

“They cannot make Technocracy happen without Smart Grid in place,” Wood later told NWV. “They have to have it.”

Worse than Communism

Here are a few of Wood’s remarks on Technocracy from his Eagle Forum address:

“Technocracy, if implemented, would create totalitarian control, but it is NOT socialism, communism or fascism. It looks like it but it’s not. Our ladder is leaning up against the wrong tree on this. It’s totalitarianism and it is much, much worse.”

“It seeks to replace the price-based economic system with an energy-based system – think energy currency, think energy credits, think pricing everything in terms of the energy it takes to produce it, rather than the free-enterprise market system we have right now in currency,”

“Technocracy makes no provision for private property, there’s no mechanism for accumulating wealth. Everything is controlled by energy production and consumption, and everything is controlled by the state from the top down.”

If this information was new to conference attendees, it was also relatively new to Wood, who recalled he’d been researching and writing for 35 years about globalization, the global elite, and in particular “the machinations of the [300-member] group known as the Trilateral Commission,” yet in all that time had never heard of Technocracy.

About three years ago he ran across a historical study of an organization called Technocracy Inc. and, intrigued, was soon immersed in research on this obscure group and movement. He was amazed at what he found. Laid out in decades-old academic journals, newspapers and magazines, was the framework for an entirely new economic-political system designed to replace capitalism.

“Technocracy proposed not just a new shuffle, but a replacement economic system based on energy distribution and consumption and run by engineers, scientists, and technicians,” Wood said.

It had been developed and promoted by just such a group – “technocrats” they called themselves -- during the early 1930s at Columbia University. They believed that capitalism was dead and the resulting society should be micro-managed by experts like themselves. One of its cofounders was M. King Hubbert, in those days a brilliant young geo-physicist. During the 1950s Hubbert devised the “Peak Oil Theory,” which holds that humans are fast using up the planet’s supply of oil. He is recognized as one of the founding fathers of the environmental movement.

Formally incorporated as Technocracy, Inc. in 1932, the movement was one of the most popular the U.S. has experienced, with over 500,000 card-carrying members at one point. Suddenly it disappeared, rejected by both the newly installed Roosevelt administration and the public, and “scrubbed” from history.

But during the movement’s brief heyday, technocrats created and published volumes of reports and documents, including a definitive handbook: Technocracy Study Course.

Circling the Noose

“These guys, being scientists and engineers, wrote a detailed list of requirements that would be necessary to implement Technocracy -- first in America, then the entire North American continent,” Wood said. Here are five of those requirements with his comments.

Technocracy, Inc. 1932: Energy Distribution Requirements

• Register on a continuous 24 hour-per-day basis the total net conversion of energy: Think Smart Grid for a minute, which you know you’re going to see
• By means of the registration of energy converted and consumed, make possible a balanced load: You’ll see the words ‘balanced load’ all over the literature for Smart Grid…
• Provide a continuous inventory of all production and consumption: Now this is not just for energy: this is all production and all consumption, but the first blush is of course of energy.
• Provide a specific registration of the type, kind, etc. of all goods and services, where produced and where used: This is 1932 folks. Are they doing this today? Are we being sliced and diced with the data and stuff?
• Provide specific registration of the consumption of each individual, plus a record and description of the individual (Scott Howard, et al, Technocracy Study Course, p. 232: Think Homeland Security. Think NSA.

In addition to the five Wood listed, the Study Course has two more requirements:

6. Allow the citizen the widest latitude of choice in consuming his share of Continental physical wealth [each person’s “share” to be determined by technocrats]
7. Distribute goods and services to every member of the population.

“They’re circling the noose of this data collection around us, and now, all of a sudden, out of the blue comes … Smart Grid. Lo and behold, give the engineers a list of requirements and they’re going to come up with a new bright idea lickety-split.”

Replacing Capitalism

In 1969 Zbigniew Brzezinski, then a professor at Columbia, wrote the book Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era, which Wood has called a “Neo-Technocratic treatise.” He recalled he’d read it when it was published but it meant nothing to him. So with a new awareness of Technocracy, Wood reread it, “and lo and behold I find out that the book parallels exactly what [the technocrats] said in 1932.”

“Here are the same themes; the same concepts; in some cases the same phraseology,” Wood exclaimed. “Brzezinski just used the word technetronic to replace technocratic. It’s similar, but not quite the same -- and absolutely the same concept.” Wood contends that had Brzezinski lived during the 1930s he would have been “leading the charge” for Technocracy Inc.

In 1973 David Rockefeller and Brzezinski set up the Trilateral Commission, with the goal of creating a “New International Economic Order.”

Wood regards Rockefeller as someone who is a master at “hijacking” other people’s ideas. Technocracy was apparently one of them, an idea that “Rockefeller and his crowd ended up hijacking for their own benefit.”

Until the last few decades the technology didn’t exist for implementing a technocratic order. For that you need computers capable of maintaining a “continuous inventory of all production and consumption,” and registering “on a continuous 24 hour-per-day basis the total net conversion of energy,” and so on through the other requirements.

You also need an electrical grid system able to handle massive amounts of data, one that allows provider access to and control over a consumer’s electrical devices. You need Smart Grid.

As noted earlier: “They cannot make Technocracy happen without Smart Grid in place. They have to have it.”

Another necessary element is a controller chip in everyone’s computer, thermostat, washer, drier, and so on. That’s been developed, and – as Wood put it – “All the major manufacturers are running nuts over this to put this chip into everything you buy.”

He predicted that within a year “you aren’t going to be able to buy a washer, drier, a new thermostat, air conditioner, or whatever that doesn’t have this technology embedded in it -- and there is no way to turn it off within the device.”

One Contiguous Policy Unit

Smart Grid doesn’t stop at U.S. borders. There are plans – 50 percent completed -- for creating a North American Smart Grid, with 22 working groups that the Security and Prosperity Partnership “cut loose with the Dept. of Energy” talking with other countries to tie the Smart Grid together between Mexico, Canada and the United States “in one contiguous policy unit.”

Some elements are already in place and the negotiations are a “done deal” – “they’re merely working on the build-out at this point.”

“And this has all happened in the last three years,” Wood emphasized. “In 2009 when the financial meltdown happened and President Obama authorized a recovery stimulus package, $3.4 billion was ponyed up to be put onto Smart Grid -- just summarily. Nobody paid attention to it at that time.”

Other industrialized counties in the world did the same -- Canada, Mexico, countries in South America, China, Great Britain, Germany, and Switzerland. “All across the world they spent stimulus money to kick start Smart Grid in their own countries,” said Wood.

“Does that tell you something?” he asked. “Who orchestrated that? Who gave them simultaneously the idea to do it with taxpayer money, not industry money?”

Contacted later by telephone, Wood told NWV that U.S. tax dollars did not fund Smart Grid in foreign countries -- the money came from their own stimulus packages. “They did it themselves through their own governments.”

However, he said, pressure could have been applied probably by the IMF, the World Bank, or the Bank for International Settlements – perhaps all three. These organizations “have their hooks” in other countries’ political systems where Smart Grid is being implemented, Wood observed. “They can make nation states hop and sing and dance to their tune.”

It Ain’t Over Yet

In his concluding remarks Wood emphasized that Smart Grid is happening with no congressional (or parliamentary) oversight in any country. “Nobody’s looking at this – it’s by executive fiat.”

And he reminded his audience: “Technocracy makes no provision for private property, no mechanism for accumulating wealth. Everything is controlled by energy production and consumption, and everything is controlled by the state from the top down.”

Last – a touch of whistling-in-the-dark humor: “It ain’t over till it’s over. And in the meantime, remember – Smart Grid is watching you.”
