Former Hitler Youth Whistleblower Warns Of America's Nazi Future

In this shocking interview, former Hitler Youth member and World War Two veteran Hilmar Von Campe warns that America's collective turn away from God is greasing the skids for the state to take over as the ultimate authority, threatening a repeat of the rise of National Socialism, as he warns that the Obama White House and the United States government in general now more closely embrace the political doctrines of the Nazis than they do those of the founding fathers.

Von Campe explains how when he returned from the war he was determined to find out how the Germans, a relatively cultured and civil people before the rise of the Nazis, could have allowed a monster like Hitler to implement the Third Reich. Von Campe attributes the fall of Germany to the Nazis partly to "Godlessness," a collapse in moral standards, and the German people acting contrary to God's desires. Based on this revelation, he has created a formula to try and prevent countries from succumbing to tyranny in future.

Von Campe explains how children were indoctrinated by the state and the education system to uphold Nazi beliefs and then spy on and inform on their parents if they didn't follow suit, as a way of breaking up families and enforcing a single ideology. He also reveals how the Nazis insisted upon discussion about religion and God being kept out of society, in the interests of ensuring that the people could not call on a higher authority than the state and therefore were less inclined to resist the Nazi takeover.

Von Campe warns that the process of taking God out of society and education, and the accelerating erosion of America's Christian foundations bears startling similarities to how National Socialism established itself in 1930's Germany, while chillingly pointing out that the US Senate, House and the Obama White House now more closely resembles the Nazis than it does the founding fathers.

"I cannot understand how the American people can tolerate a thing like this," says Von Campe, making reference to the over 50 million babies that have been killed through abortion in the United States, while drawing other parallels to how the US is beginning to mirror totalitarian states. The only way to change the direction America is heading, warns Von Campe, is to reject immorality and embrace "absolute moral standards, absolute honesty, absolute purity, absolute unselfishness and absolute love."

A thoughtful, quietly-spoken German was almost in tears.

“I never thought I would see this in my lifetime,” he said, sadness and anger competing on his face. “The last time young people politicized and indoctrinated by the State broke up a meeting of their opponents here in Copenhagen by chanting mindless, repetitive slogans was during the Nazi occupation of Denmark during the Second World War.”

Americans for Prosperity had booked a meeting-room in a canal-side hotel, with a live satellite link-up to well-attended chapter meetings all over the United States. As their President was speaking, the Hitler-Jugend, part of a very large, lavishly-funded delegation of jack-trainered, eco-Fascist goons probably paid for by taxpayers somewhere, leapt up to the podium and began a zombie-like, keening chant.

I used the old crowd-control trick of standing behind the Hitler Youth and talking quietly. The microphones were right where I wanted them, so I began reporting on that day’s progress in negotiating the world-government agreement that, if it is passed at Copenhagen, will shut down the economies and democracies of the West without affecting the climate in any measurable way.

One of the Fascists, distracted as I had intended, began trying to offer a commentary on what I was saying. Using my elbow, I kept her away from the microphones and continued talking. Eventually, the squad marched out of the room and rapidly dispersed before the police could round them up.

Another German in the audience said this was the saddest day of his life. He, too, had hoped that mindless, compulsory agreement with the State and disruption of discussions by anyone who disagreed had been swept away from Europe forever at the end of the Second World War.

Both of our distinguished German colleagues left the meeting with their heads bowed low and their shoulders stooped. Their distress and concern for the future of Europe and the world was evident.

We went out into the night, where on every public building and in every city square there are lurid green banners and vast, costly, wasteful, electricity-guzzling displays, accompanied by the hilariously improbable slogans that are the hallmark of totalitarianism everywhere – for instance, the mawkishly messianic “Brad Pitt Saves The Planet”.

As a token gesture towards those of us who dislike State-funded propaganda that is also wasteful and prodigiously carbon-emitting, in one of Copenhagen’s squares a giant Christmas tree covered in white lights (colored Christmas decorations are regarded as vulgar in Denmark) is surrounded by a couple of dozen fixed bicycles attached to generators, so that the eco-Fascists can feel good about the environment as they pedal like mad to keep the Christmas-tree lights on.

Alas, this display, too, is mere propaganda. Walking past the tree late at night, we saw not a single eco-zomb pedaling to keep the lights on, but they were burning brightly anyway. The Copenhagen Christmas tree is a monument to the dishonesty of the entire “global warming” fraud.

A Danish lady who had been in the audience at the meeting broken up by the Nazi thugs said that her father had told her that such displays had been a feature of Copenhagen during the German occupation. She, too, was shaken and saddened by the Hitler-Jugend’s attempted disruption of what we had all hoped was now the unchallengeable right of free speech.

The next morning, in the Conference Centre, I was accosted by a couple of dozen of the Sturmabteilung and Schutz Staffel wannabes, bleating about how upset they were that my comments about their Hitlerian, Fascist tactics had been broadcast right round the world.

One of them said, “I am a Jew. How could you accuse me of being a member of the Hitler Youth?” I said, “If you behave like the Hitler Youth than I will call it as I see it. And if you ever break up someone else’s meeting again and trample on other people’s freedom of speech, I will say it again.”

In fact, even those brave dissidents who have not yet had their meetings broken up by groups of savage goons are more and more openly saying that the nastiness that was National Socialism/Fascism/Communism now stalks the world again, in a new and more terrible form. This time, it is global. This time, leaders of once-democratic nations subscribe to its half-baked, unscientific notions and are themselves increasingly intolerant of anyone who dares to dissent.

The intolerance, of course, stems from the realization on the part of those behind the “global warming” scam that it is entirely false. It is always liars who have to shout loudest in the hope of temporarily prevailing over the truth.

James Hansen, a fully-paid-up member of the new regime, has notoriously called for anyone who disagrees with the new superstition to be put on trial for “high crimes against humanity”. Now, crimes against humanity are punishable by death, as Saddam Hussein discoveredt. So what Hansen is asking for is the judicial murder of those of his fellow-citizens who disagree with him – one of the unfailing hallmarks of Nazism and Fascism everywhere.

And here’s the thing. Hansen is a paid public servant. He works at NASA. And has NASA’s administrator dismissed him? No. And why not? Because NASA is making a fortune out of the current US Administration, which has retasked it as a climate change monitoring agency and vastly increased its budget. In short, NASA – like taxpayer-funded agencies throughout the world – has been bought, and easily bought.

Another of the repellent tricks of Nazism and Fascism is to poke fun at the physical disabilities of one’s opponents. The Guardian, the British equivalent of Der Sturmer, the in-house journal of Hitler’s Sturmabteilung, has been running a rather childish hate-campaign against me for three years, ever since I successfully compelled it to publish a stinging letter of rebuke for its hapless environment correspondent, George Monbiot.

Monbiot, a fourteenth-rate zoologist who knows nothing of climate science, had attacked me in a characteristically vicious, ignorant 1800-word rant for having failed to understand the fundamental equation of radiative transfer, of which he had never even heard until he read about it in a major article I had published in the London Sunday Telegraph. He may be forgiven for not understanding it: the UN’s climate panel does not understand it either, and is very careful not even to mention it once in the 1000 pages of its 2001 climate assessment report or in the 1500 pages of the 2007 report.

This week Monbiot decided to have yet another go at me, and – like the Fascist he is – he decided that he would have some fun at the expense of my own disability, Graves’ Disease, which causes the eyes to protrude markedly. He took pleasure in repeating another hack’s description of me as “swivel-eyed”. Heil Hitler, George.

How do we stop the march of this neo-Fascist movement, with its crude denigration of opponents, breaking-up of meetings, taxpayer-funded propaganda at every street corner, and vast, expensive Nuremberg Rallies such as that which is now taking place at the Bella Centre?

Simple. We call it what it is, and we continue to speak freely and fearlessly, whether they like it or not, until they actually get to the point of putting us on trial for “high crimes against humanity”. We will not, repeat not, repeat not, be silenced.

Groups of agitant green youth corps invaded the stage during Lord Monckton’s speech at an Americans for Prosperity event in Copenhagen yesterday, attempting to sabotage the private meeting while chanting cult-like environmental mantras in a shocking example of how the environmentalist elite have activated cadres of young brownshirts to crush the free speech of anyone who dares dissent against the global warming authodoxy.

A Huffington Post write-up of the incident attempts to characterize Monckton as the villain of the story because he called the teenage brownshirts out for what they were, “crazed Hitler youth.”

“The young activists, representing a number of youth action groups including SustainUS, the Sierra Student Coalition, the Cascade Climate Network, and other American youth NGOs, kicked off the protest by holding banners in front of the cameras reading “Climate Disaster Ahead” and “Clean Energy Now.”

The “activists,” who are invited delegates to the UN’s Copenhagen summit, betrayed the dictatorial agenda of the United Nations and the climate change movement as a whole by having zero tolerance for any dissenting opinion – crashing and shouting down a small conference of people who had merely gathered to present the other side of the debate.

They then proceeded to wave plastic American flags made in China before chanting environmental mantras that have no basis whatsoever in reality.

“We’re representing the majority of Americans on this, particularly young Americans,” commented one of the brownshirts.

In reality, as the most recent polls show, “Americans who think global warming is caused by human activity, including vehicle and industrial emissions, are now a minority.”

“You are listening now to the shouts in the background of the Hitler youth,” said Monckton, as the green thugs interrupted his speech. Monckon mentioned the fact that these same youth corps had green spray-painted Copenhagen with Orwellian messages in a frightening throwback to the red, white and black swastikas that littered the city during the time when it was occupied by the Nazis.

Another disruptor, Laura Comer, claimed, “We’re representing the majority of Americans on this, particularly young Americans. The real America wants clean energy – not more fossil fuel-funded lies about the science.”

In actual fact, the Climategate emails clearly illustrated how the vast majority of big oil money is behind the climate change alarmists, not the skeptics. Indeed, the entire Copenhagen event is sponsored by a consortium of giant corporations that includes British Petroleum and Shell Oil.

A few months ago parents in New Jersey were also outraged that their children were taught a song that talked about President Obama leading the country. They say it's something they wouldn't expect in the United States and they want politics out of the classroom.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Former President George H.W. Bush doesn't like the "ugliness" President Barack Obama has faced since taking office, but he thinks it's no worse than his son experienced and is not about Obama being black.

Bush, who was hosting Obama at a volunteerism forum here Friday, said the tone of the criticism "crosses the line of civility."

"To the degree it turns off one student or young person from serving, that's bad," Bush said in an interview with CBS News Radio at his presidential library. "It should not happen."

Jamboree Used by Military, Police to Indoctrinate Boy Scouts

An Infowars reader has sent us an account of military and police indoctrination of Boy Scouts at the Boy Scouts Of America Great Lakes Centennial Jamboree, held on September 25, 26, and 27 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

“I thought it would be a great adventure with thousands of scouts from all over the Midwest,” an assistant Scout Master writes in an email. “The official count was 10,144 people in attendance (Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Adult Leaders, Parents, and Staff).”

Instead of an old-fashioned Boy Scout event of camping and outdoor activities, the attendees were subjected to unrelenting military and police propaganda.

The Scout Master immediately noticed the presence of the Wisconsin Army National Guard and police at the event. The next day, he observed Humvees, troop vehicles, cargo vehicles, a patriot missile battery truck, and other military equipment at the event.

The police demonstrated “chase and takedown demonstrations” and showed off a new SWAT vehicle. “There were several military displays,” he writes. “The National Guard had a Baghdad combat simulator setup that people 16 and older could try. Three people at a time were allowed in, one person got to man a machine gun on a vehicle, another got an M16/AR15 [while] the other person got a 9mm pistol. You were simulating going through the streets of Baghdad trying to kill terrorists, militants etc. There were also civilians you were supposed to either avoid shooting or determine if they were a terrorist. There was an Army Blackhawk helicopter that showed up and circled the area and then landed for people to go look at and get into and talk to the Army pilots.”

The Lt. General of the Wisconsin National Guard gave a speech and compared the Boy Scouts to the U.S. Army. “They showed video on two big screens that were on either side of the stage that showed old and new video of scouts in different activities, marching, and mixed in with those scenes were video scenes of the Army and scenes from World War I and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Scout Master, a listener of the Alex Jones Show, said the display disturbed him deeply. “I have to tell you I was scared to death of what is getting ready to happen to scouting. I told my son who was with me at the show to listen for certain things and don’t buy into what was being said. I felt like I was in 1940’s Nazi Germany and was being prepared for indoctrination.”

When he expressed concern to other adults at the event, he was dismissed as a conspiracy theorist.

“I even saw Girl Scouts at this Jamboree (not to as many as the Boy Scouts mind you but there were some). I think scouting is a very important thing in the lives of boys and girls. I think we can still save the Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts if ALL scout leaders and parents of scouts stand up and in one voice say ‘NO!’ we will not have our boys and girls turned into the Hitler Youth of America. We need to write, call the local Councils, and the National offices and tell them to STOP this ‘indoctrination’ that is happening to our boys and girls. It’s not to late!” he concludes.

On May 14, 2009, Infowars reported on a program initiated by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI to train Boy Scouts and “thousands of young people in skills used to confront terrorism, illegal immigration and escalating border violence — an intense ratcheting up of one of the group’s longtime missions to prepare youths for more traditional jobs as police officers and firefighters,” according to the New York Times.

“The Boy Scouts of America has announced a partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Ready Kids, a family-friendly program designed to increase the level of citizen preparedness nationwide by motivating and helping parents and teachers to educate children about the importance of being prepared for emergencies,” a press release issued by the Boy Scouts announced in February. “Scouting embodies the very essence of being prepared and has specific training and merit badges designed to encourage proper awareness and planning in our Scouts. To partner on a program such as this allows us to reinforce the importance of preparation to families throughout the nation,” said Roy Williams, Chief Scout Executive.

“The Department of Homeland Security is training teenage scouts how to conduct armed raids on terrorists and drug dealers,” Steve Watson wrote on May 14. “Given recent concerns over the DHS definition of ‘right wing extremists’ and the agency’s penchant to affiliate veterans, gun owners, Ron Paul supporters and even those who question the mainstream media with terrorists, one wonders exactly who the boy scouts are being trained to target.”

Big Brother Barack: Students Must Read Books About Him Prior to National School Address

I think it’s wonderful that President Obama is making education a priority. And his bookish, pro-intellect personality is good for children to emulate (to a point). Certainly, his academic achievements are a paradigm for kids to aspire to.

But like President Bush's, Obama’s first educational foray is an unwelcome one.

Bush, who also made education a priority, joined with Ted Kennedy to produce a truly horrendous piece of legislation in No Child Left Behind. NCLB is a well-intentioned disaster at best.

Obama’s initial educational push will be what he thinks he does best – a speech, likely read from a Teleprompter.

Obama is planning to address the all of the nation’s students on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

I’m sorry, but the notion of a national address to schoolchildren creeps me out.

Maybe I’m paranoid, but it sparks within me thoughts of Big Brother’s looming head on a massive television screen, indoctrinating the hapless drones spread out before him.

The companion “Menu of Classroom Activities” released to pre-kindergarten through sixth graders by the Education Department in advance of what they are billing as “President Obama’s Address to Students Across America” does nothing to assuage my paranoia.

Before the speech, students are instructed to read books about Barack Obama. Teachers are asked to ask students “Why do you think he wants to speak to you?” referring to the President.

During the speech, students should think about the following “What is the President asking me to do?” and “What specific job is he asking me to do?” among other things.

After the speech, the questions that students should ponder include “Are we able to do what President Obama asks up to do?”

I’m sorry, but I don’t want the President of the United States asking or telling the kids of the United States to do anything. This isn’t 1950s China.

And what -- exactly and precisely and specifically what -- is the President going to be talking about during this address? The war? Healthcare reform? Voting issues?

Nobody knows, which is also scary.

The White House needs to be completely transparent beforehand about what the President intends to tell the kids of America.

Because if it’s anything other than “obey your parents and your teachers,” the President may well be out of line.

Parents should be aware and wary of mass indoctrination coming from any President and into the hearts and minds of impressionable little ones.

Televised school messages that 'glorify' president called indoctrination

Parents are outraged after a Utah elementary school showed a video to schoolchildren about pledging to "to be of service to Barack Obama," "to never give anyone the finger when I'm driving again," "to sell my obnoxious car and buy a hybrid" and to advance stem-cell research.

The video, titled "I Pledge" and produced by Demi Moore, features more than 50 Hollywood celebrities who offer their support for President Obama's policies. The film was played for Obama during his inaugural celebration.

But school administrators at Eagle Bay Elementary School in Farmington, Utah, showed the video to young students at an Aug 28 school assembly, sparking outrage from parents and conservative groups who called the film "radical, leftist propaganda," the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

The video can be seen below:

"I Pledge" opens with a popular depiction of Obama. The president states, "Let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other."

The following are some of the more controversial pledges:

• I pledge allegiance to the funk of the united funk of funkadelica.

• I pledge to never give anyone the finger when I'm driving again

• I pledge to advance stem-cell research

• To reduce my use of plastic … use less bottled water … plant 500 trees this year … to be more green … to no longer use plastic bags at the grocery store

• For the environment, I plan to flush only after deuce, never a single

• I pledge to sell my obnoxious car and buy a hybrid

• I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama

The video asks viewers to visit Serve.gov and sign up for a community service project.

Jennifer Cieslewicz has a daughter who is in first-grade at Eagle Bay Elementary.

"Showing the video in a public school is completely inappropriate," Cieslewicz told the Salt Lake Tribune. "I don't believe a video such as this that promotes certain values should be shown to elementary students, especially without parents being aware. "

Following negative reactions from parents, school principal Ofelia Wade has apologized for showing the video.

Chris Williams, Davis School District spokesman, told the Tribune that Wade and school PTA leaders chose to play the video during its assembly about the school theme this year – service. He said Wade hadn't viewed the film before it was played for the children.

"It got to a point where she turned to her assistant and said, 'Oops, I wish I would have seen this before. I don't think I would have shown it,' " Williams said. "She acknowledges she was wrong and apologizes for it and says she's sorry."

According to the report, the principal plans to send letters to parents about the film on Wednesday.

Gayle Ruzicka, president of Utah Eagle Forum, told the newspaper the video was blatantly political.

"It's very inappropriate to show a radical, leftist propaganda piece that political to children," Ruzicka said. "If parents want their children to learn about those things and do them in the home, wonderful, fine, but it's not the place of the school to show a one-sided propaganda piece to children without parents knowing about it."

Congressman: Obama Could Use Pandemic To Declare Martial Law

Broun warns of “socialistic elite” and their plans for a dictatorship

Georgia Congressman Paul Broun warned attendees of a town hall event Tuesday that the Obama administration was planning to use a pandemic or a natural disaster to implement martial law in the United States.

Speaking at the North Georgia Technical College auditorium, Broun said that the “socialistic elite,” as well as Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, were planning to exploit a crisis to create a favorable climate for their stalling political agenda.

“They’re trying to develop an environment where they can take over,” he said. “We’ve seen that historically.”

Broun’s warning arrives on the back of a letter sent by The National Governors Association to the Pentagon last week, which condemns the military’s plans to usurp domestic control of National Guard and federal forces deployed in the event of a natural disaster or terrorist attack.

In December 2008 it was announced that at least 20,000 more active duty soldiers will be placed inside the United States under Northcom to “help state and local officials respond to a nuclear terrorist attack or other domestic catastrophe.”

“Domestic emergency deployment may be “just the first example of a series of expansions in presidential and military authority,” or even an increase in domestic surveillance, warned Anna Christensen of the ACLU’s National Security Project. And Cato Vice President Gene Healy warned of “a creeping militarization” of homeland security.”

The contention that the troops will merely help “recovery efforts” after a major catastrophe is contradicted by the fact that Northcom itself, in a September 8 Army Times article, said the first wave of the deployment, which was put in place on October 1st at Fort Stewart and at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, would be aimed at tackling “civil unrest and crowd control”.

Congressman Broun has been a thorn in the side of Obama’s agenda since day one, voting against the “cap and trade” bill and slamming the entire concept of man-made global warming as a “hoax”.

He also spoke out against Obama’s plan to create a “national civilian security force,” warning that the program sounded like a 21st century Gestapo and that it was part of a move towards a Marxist dictatorship.

“That’s exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did,” Broun said. “When he’s proposing to have a national security force that’s answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he’s showing me signs of being Marxist.”

Broun also cited the threat to the second amendment posed by the Obama administration and anti-gun Attorney General Eric Holder.

“We can’t be lulled into complacency,” Broun said. “You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I’m not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I’m saying is there is the potential of going down that road.”

MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann voted Broun his “worst person in the world” on two separate occasions and attacked the Congressman as a racist and a bigot for expressing worries about the porous border with Mexico in relation to the swine flu outbreak. Olbermann claimed that Broun had “exploited a dead baby” to make his “sick, xenophobic and utterly irrelevant case about immigration.”

In November 2008, Olbermann erroneously claimed that Obama had called for a “civilian reserve corps” and “federally funded construction workers” when he had actually announced a plan for a “national security force,” as this video shows. Olbermann attacked Broun for expressing concerns about the program.

In July 2008 on the campaign trail, Obama called for a “civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded,” as the U.S. military.

A cult of personality or personality cult arises when a country's leader uses mass media to create a heroic public image through unquestioning flattery and praise. Cults of personality are often found in dictatorships but can be found in some democracies.

A cult of personality is similar to general hero worship except that it is created specifically for political leaders.

The development of photography, sound recording, film and mass production, as well as public education and techniques used in commercial advertising, enabled political leaders to project a positive image like never before. It was with these circumstances in the 20th century that the best-known personality cults arose.

Generally, personality cults are most common in regimes with totalitarian systems of government, that seek to radically alter or transform society according to revolutionary new ideas. Often, a single leader becomes associated with this revolutionary transformation, and comes to be treated as a benevolent "guide" for the nation, without whom the transformation to a better future cannot occur. This has been generally the justification for personality cults that arose in totalitarian societies of the 20th century, such as those of Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler.

The criticism of personality cults often focuses on the regimes of Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Ceauşescu, Saddam Hussein, Kim Il-sung and his son Kim Jong-Il. During the peak of their regimes, these leaders were presented as god-like and infallible. Their portraits were hung in homes and public buildings, with artists and poets legally required to produce only works that glorified the leader. Other leaders with such cults include Eva Peron of Argentina and her husband Juan. The term cult of personality comes from Karl Marx's critique of the "cult of the individual" - expressed in a letter to German political worker, Wilhelm Bloss.

Nikita Khrushchev recalled Marx's criticism in his 1956 "Secret Speech" denouncing Stalin to the 20th Party Congress: "Comrades, the cult of the individual acquired such monstrous size chiefly because Stalin himself, using all conceivable methods, supported the glorification of his own person. . . . One of the most characteristic examples of Stalin's self-glorification and of his lack of even elementary modesty is the edition of his Short Biography, which was published in 1948. This book is an expression of the most dissolute flattery, an example of making a man into a godhead, of transforming him into an infallible sage, "the greatest leader," "sublime strategist of all times and nations." Finally no other words could be found with which to lift Stalin up to the heavens. We need not give here examples of the loathsome adulation filling this book. All we need to add is that they all were approved and edited by Stalin personally and some of them were added in his own handwriting to the draft text of the book."

Journalist Bradley Martin documented the personality cults of North Korea's father-son leadership, "Eternal (formerly Great) Leader" Kim Il-sung and "Great (formerly Dear) Leader" Kim Jong-il.

Kim Il-sung rejected the notion that he had created a cult around himself and accused those who suggested so of "factionalism." A US religious freedom investigation confirmed Martin's observation that North Korean schoolchildren learn to thank Kim Il-sung for all blessings as part of the cult.

Former President Saparmurat Niyazov of Turkmenistan is another oft-cited cultivator of a cult of personality.

During Niyazov's rule there was no freedom of the press nor was there freedom of speech. This further meant that opposition to Niyazov was strictly forbidden and "major opposition figures have been imprisoned, institutionalized, deported, or have fled the country, and their family members are routinely harassed by the authorities. Additionally, a silhouette of Niyazov was placed on the screen of all television broadcasts and statues and pictures of him were 'erected everywhere. For these, and other reasons, the US Government has gone on to claim that by the time he died, "Niyazovs personality cult...had reached the dimensions of a state-imposed religion.

University of Chicago professor Lisa Wedeen's book, "Ambiguities of Domination" documents the cult of personality which surrounded late Syrian President Hafez al-Assad. Numerous examples of his glorification are made throughout the book, such as displays of love and adoration for the "leader" put on at the opening ceremonies of the 1987 Mediterranean Games in Lattakia, Syria.

H.R. 675: Building Obama’s Civilian National Security Force

In January, without any recognizable corporate media coverage, Rep. Bob Filner, a California Democrat, introduced H.R. 675. The bill would amend title 10 of the United States Code and extend to civilian employees of the Department of Defense the authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry firearms. The bill was referred to the Armed Services Committee on January 26, 2009.

Filner’s bill would amend the United States code with the following: “Sec. 1585b. Law enforcement officers of the Department of Defense: authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry firearms… for any offense against the United States.” (Emphasis added.)

The Posse Comitatus Act, passed on June 18, 1878 after the end of Reconstruction, limits the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement. The Act prohibits members of the federal uniformed services from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain “law and order” on non-federal property within the United States.
