Forbidden Gates: PART FOUR

How Genetics, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Synthetic Biology, Nanotechnology, & Human Enhancement Herald the Dawn of Techno-Dimensional Spiritual Warfare

OPEN SESAME!

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call "The Twilight Zone." Rod Serling
In 1918, famed occultist Aleister Crowley in attempting to discover how those evil emissaries discussed in the last entry could be extended from their kosmos into man's reality undertook to create a magical vortex that would span the gap between the world of the seen and the unseen. Crowley's ritual was called the Amalantrah Working and according to his records became successful when a presence manifested itself through the rift. He called this being "Lam" and drew a portrait of it. The startling image, detailed over ninety years ago, bears powerful similarity with "alien greys" of modern pop culture.

Nearly three decades after the Amalantrah Working, rocket scientist and cofounder of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Jack Parsons and his pal L. Ron Hubbard (Church of Scientology founder) conducted a second ritual called the "Babylon Working" in an attempt to reopen Crowley's gateway. These men were not looking for Lam. They wanted to incarnate the Whore of Babylon—a demon child or gibborim—through a portal during ritual sex. Parsons wrote that the ceremony was successful and that at one point a brownish/yellow light came through the doorway and something invisible struck him, knocking a candle out of his hand.

It is interesting to note that following Crowley's magic portal (which allegedly produced the alien-looking Lam) and Hubbard and Parson's Babylon Working ritual, Crowley died in 1947—the same year as the Roswell crash and the same year Kenneth Arnold saw his flying saucers and sightings of "aliens" increased around the world. Some believe this is evidence that a demonic portal was indeed breached by these men. While we probably will never know if something truly supernatural happened with Crowley and Parsons, early Christians, as well as Hebrews, Assyrians, Greeks and other ancient cultures believed such dimensional gateways exist and can be opened between the material world and those entities discussed in part 3 of this series. Because physical doorways and windows on buildings were "mirrors" of the unseen gateways and were therefore vulnerable to entry by supernaturalism, those not interested in making contact with evil spirits placed magic gargoyles on their temples, churches, and castles to scare off and protect from harmful spirits, witches, and other malign influences seeking to manifest. For instance, one of the most widely-used symbols by Greeks on their buildings was the terrifying Gorgon (such as Medusa), a horrifying female creature whose hair was made of venomous snakes and whose gaze could turn men to stone. To close the doorway to evil spirits in Babylon and Assyria, colossal enchanted creatures built under elaborate ceremonies and blessed by names of good omens flanked the palace entries and towering gates of cities while extra precaution was provided through winged figures holding magic devices cleverly concealed beneath the entryway floors. It was also important in ancient times to defend ones personal property and private residence against fiendish undesirables, therefore apotropaic (an adjective meaning "to ward off evil") devices were placed in home doorways, windows, fireplaces and chimneys, while charms, bracelets, and talismans were worn upon the body to protect the individual themselves.

The Hebrew prophet Ezekiel made an interesting statement about such "magic bracelets" (kesatot), which were worn upon the body and somehow bound spirits. We read, "Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold I am against your pillows [kesatot, "magic bands"] wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly" (Ezekiel 13:20). The kesatot was a magic arm band used in connection with a container called the kiste. Wherever the kiste is inscribed on sarcophagi, it is depicted as a vessel with a snake peering through an open lid. How the magic worked and in what way a spirit was bound or loosed is a mystery, but a noteworthy verification of the magical properties represented by these utilities is discussed in the scholarly work Scripture and Other Artifacts by Phillip King and Michael David:
In the closing verses of Ezekiel 13 the prophet turns his attention to magic practices whose details remain obscure. Two key terms are kesatot and mispabot…The kesatot are "sewn" on the arms, while the mispabot are made "on the head of every height" (?), which has been understood to mean "on the heads of persons of every height"…

In modern times archaeological discoveries and texts from Babylonia in particular have shed further light on what might be involved: G. A. Cooke cited Hellenistic figurines from Tell Sandahannah (Mareshah) in Palestine with wire twisted around their arms and ankles…and a magical text from Babylonia that speaks of white and black wool being bound to a person or to someones bed…J. Herrmann [notes] that both words can be related to Akkadian verbs, kasu and sapabu, which mean respectively "to bind" and "to loose"…Herrmann also drew attention to texts in which these verbs were used in a specifically magical sense…This indicates that, whatever the objects were, their function was to act as "binders" and "loosers" in a magical sense, in other words as means of attack and defense in sorcery. [1]
For people not familiar with the terms "binding" and "loosing," these staple words in spiritual warfare imply that certain influences can and should be "bound"—i.e. binding demons so that they cannot effect our minds, bodies, homes—while beneficial influences like good angels ought to be "loosed" (more on this in the final section).

Early religions and schools of mystery went into great detail about who and what was to be bound and loosed, including the advantages of how and why to do it. Beyond malevolent spirits in general, certain powerful entities that could suddenly "emerge" into man's reality were to be especially feared and avoided. These included Asmodai or Samael (the angel of death), Lilith, the mother of Ahriman and the queen of demons, Seir, a prince of hell with twenty-six legions of demons that could appear any place on earth, and thousands of others.

In Matthew 16: 17-19, Jesus directly tied the binding of such supernaturalism to the work of the ministry and the enduring power of his Church. To Peter he said, "upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

This deeply meaningful verse indicates something very important about gateways and openings, binding and loosing, who is to be bound, and the subsequent connection between this activity and the powers of heaven and earth. Note where Jesus says, "the gates of hell shall not prevail" against his Church. Putting the word "hell" in context here is very important because while the Greek word transliterated "Hades" was later confused with death and the grave (Thanatos [also see Rev. 1.18]), at the time Jesus chose to use this word he was possibly referring to the person of Hades or Pluto, the god of the lower regions, and Orcus, the nether world and realm of the dead. Why Jesus may have made reference to a Greek deity, combining it with the subjects of binding, loosing, gates, and spiritual warfare is important. The mythos of Hades and his connection to other deities and their ability to migrate between the spirit and physical world was dominant at the time of Christ, as his disciples would have been well versed, and Jesus may have intended for his followers to immediately connect the truth behind the struggle these living enemies represent to the children of God. Both the Old and New Testament make it clear that behind such pagan gods as Hades exists genuine personal evil that seeks to connect with and mislead mankind.

Destruction Comes But God Is Our Refuge

stevequayle.com

The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant. For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us. And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder. —Jeremiah 4:7-9

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them. He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence; —Psalm 78:49-50

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.—Romans 8:35-40

IN HIS GRIP

Without your purpose being fueled with a passion for a far greater cause than yourself, it will be impossible for you to engage life fully, if at all.

By William Owens, Jr.
December 30, 2009
NewsWithViews.com

When we hear people reflect on what God is going to do based on their limited understanding, we should rather encourage them to ask God proactive questions like, “God what do you want me to do to be involved in your solution for this?"

From time to time, I receive emails suggesting that God has rejected America, that the bloodshed of 50,000,000 innocent souls through abortion and the acts of immorality and abominations has come to its full and therefore, God has cast off our nation.

I disagree.

Until the angel of the Lord comes down and removes the faithful from the land, the mercy of God is still within our reach, and we should never, ever give up our hope because of our limited understanding. What is necessary is for us to expand our understanding of God so that we can expand our expectation of Him.

Can the grace and mercy of God be measured?

Can you know His deepest thoughts?

Can you fathom the width of His patience?

Has He told you of impending wrath to be poured upon America?

Are there signs for you to head to the hills and run?

When we hear people reflect on what God is going to do based on their limited understanding, we should rather encourage them to ask God proactive questions like, “God what do you want me to do to be involved in your solution for this?" As I read the scriptures, I read of judgment, and condemnation of nations that turned from Him. Yes, those things are there and they are true. It might even be true for America. However, such news never stopped God’s people from weeping between at the altar for mercy on their land. They wept because loved their country, and they loved their God.

I hear the faithful talking back to God and, therefore, God talking back to them. Are you asking God questions or telling someone what God is going to do because of your lack of personal experience of what God can do. This is not faith; it is fear.

My advice is to plead with God for understanding and ask Him for His plan. For us to presume we know His will is to be spiritually reckless without truly knowing what’s on His mind. America is like any other nation. God can handle this!

America needs the sovereign hand of God to deliver her from evil men. Nothing new. This is something God has been doing since He made man. Nothing big—nothing so major as for people to throw in the towel and invoke God’s wrath, rather than to follow the example of the Old Testament patriarch, Abraham, and intercede for a nation (Genesis 18:16-33)

God has America in His grip!

Despite our own inability to comprehend His truth, His mercy, His longsuffering, His compassion, His graciousness, and His readiness to show Himself strong, God still has America in His grip!

But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. (Psalms 86:15)

Does this mean America will not be judged?

No. However, this is not the issue. It was because God was going to judge Sodom and Gomorrah that Abraham sought God to have mercy. He never stopped believing for God to turn away His wrath, and he wasn't even a citizen of that land; his nephew Lot was. If we live in America, why aren’t we crying out to God to spare America rather than sitting in judgment as if we want to hasten judgment upon it?

Furthermore, I believe God will hold those accountable who thought Him to be a mere man, to leave America helpless without His power being demonstrated to oust evil leaders of the land. I believe God is disappointed when we think of Him so quickly as a God of wrath more so than a God of mercy. Let me be clear; I realize that when God is done with a nation, He is done. This is not our call. Our call is to please Him until He has wiped His hands clean of a nation.

Why can’t we believe this could be our finest hour to show God how much we trust Him?

Why can’t we believe that there are more of us who desire truth to triumph than those who are servants of evil?

Why are we so slow of heart to see God’s power to overthrow evil plans rather than overthrow our nation?

Why? I think the following explanation might shed some light.

We tend to think along these lines partly due to the fact that we are slow to know HIM for ourselves. We are slow to invite Him into the private issues of our lives. We are slow to welcome Him to aid us in our own troubles, and because we have not allowed Him to do these things for us personally—the things to extend beyond the religious norm of attending church or an occasional miracle—we are slow to believe that He can do anything for America that is outright miraculous. God has not given up on America; however, many Americans have given up on God’s ability to reach beyond their own level of faith and understanding.

Be assured that God is not an American. He is not regulated by Washington, and does not require a congressional hearing to pass a bill. He can accomplish this all by Himself—if WE have faith!

Abraham “knew” God. He just didn’t know OF Him. Not knowing God is more our problem than Obama, Pelosi, Reid and all such leaders who push a socialistic tyrannical agenda combined. We are so acquainted with "Sodom and Gomorrah" that we fail to see the God who made it. We are so enamored with the sins of our nation; we fail to be overwhelmed with the God of our nation.

Do you know God or do you know of Him? Are you in His grip? If you are in His grip, you can and should know what He is capable of. Space fails me to tell of all of His wonderful acts. However, let me just tell you of a few:

He can raise the DEAD.
He can heal all diseases.
He can feed over five thousand people with a few fish.
He can walk on water.
He can demand a living tree to die.
He can speak the worlds into existence.
He knows your thoughts from afar off.
He knows your words before you speak them.
He knows the plans of the wicked before they do them.
He knows the number of hairs on your head.
He knows the bird that just fell from the sky and died.
He knows the end from the beginning.
He knows the length of your life.
He knows your hurts even before you experience them.
He knows the number of teardrops that your eyes have shed.
He knows the stars by name, although they cannot be numbered.
He knows the width of space because it came out of Him.
He knows, He knows, He knows!

There is not anything that God does not know, because His knowledge created everything!

Whether or not America’s days have come to an end is not for us to know or to even be the factor involved in expecting God to do good. What God wants to know is if you believe Him. Leave the business of God judging the nations to God; you make it your business to simply judge Him as the faithful God that He is. Therefore, when you stand before Him on that day of judgment, you can have confidence that you believed Him for mercy upon your nation, even as you believed Him for mercy upon yourself.

What if Abraham didn’t pray for God to extend mercy to Sodom and Gomorrah? The focus should not be on what happened when God did extend judgment, rather, let's focus on what happened between Abraham and God. They became closer friends because Abraham knew not only the judgment of God, but also His mercy.

He was in His grip.

Are you?

School goes ballistic when 2nd-grader draws Jesus

Boy, 8, said to gets psych evaluation after sketch of Christ on cross called 'violent'

By Chelsea Schilling
WorldNetDaily

An 8-year-old boy has been suspended from school and forced to undergo a psychological evaluation after he drew a picture of Jesus Christ on the cross, his father claims.

A teacher at Lowell Maxham Elementary School in Taunton, Mass., allegedly said the second-grade student created a violent drawing, the Taunton Daily Gazette reported.

The boy's picture portrayed a crucified Jesus with Xs over his eyes to indicate that he had died on the cross.

The child's father, outraged at the school's action, asked to remain anonymous to protect his son. He said his boy drew the picture after returning from a family trip to see the Christmas display at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, a Christian retreat.

He said when the teacher asked students to draw something that reminded them of Christmas on Dec. 2, the boy recalled his trip and created a portrait of Christ on the cross.

"As far as I'm concerned, they're violating his religion," he told the newspaper.

THE SPIRITUAL NATURE OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER AND THEIR PLANS

Press Release of This Week's Show

30 NOVEMBER 2009

ALEX JONES EXPOSES THE SPIRITUAL NATURE OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER AND THEIR PLANS, AND CHUCK BALDWIN EXPLAINS THE DUTY FOR CHRISTIANS TODAY TO CONFRONT IT, ON THE 30 NOVEMBER - 4 DECEMBER 09 “FUTURE QUAKE” RADIO PROGRAMS

Nashville, TN – Documentary filmmaker, investigative journalist and host of the daily “Info Wars” radio broadcast (www.infowars.com) heard by millions daily, the enigmatic Alex Jones, describes his findings on the spiritual nature of the New World Order and his personal battles in the field with them, and Pastor Chuck Baldwin, 2008 Presidential nominee of the Constitution Party, discusses the duties now before American Christians to combat their influences in our country, with host “Doctor Future” and co-host Tom Bionic, airing daily during the week of 30 November on the “Future Quake” program, broadcast on the Christian talk radio station WENO, 760 AM in Nashville, TN (and archived at http://www.futurequake.com). Alex Jones is now one of the most influential men in America and worldwide, a self-made man having risen from his work on local public access cable television, where he reported on air concerning intelligence data he received that airplanes would be flown into the World Trade Center Towers and be blamed on Al-Qaida, just weeks before the “911” event itself. Since that time, he has produced over twenty best-selling documentaries, including his latest provocative effort, “Fall of the Republic – Vol. I: The Presidency of Barack H. Obama”, as well as hosting his daily radio show “Info Wars”, heard by roughly one million listeners on over 60 radio stations, as well as shortwave and the Internet. During this time, he has been arrested in the public on the direct order of George W. Bush, infiltrated the secret, occult “Cremation of Care” ceremony at the Bohemian Grove alongside Presidents and other world figures (and made it out with video evidence to confirm this secretive activity), was detained by authorities at the Canadian border on behalf of the globalist Bilderberg officials, and arrested live on air during a “Fox News” broadcast, having become the voice of the “awakened”, post-Left/Right-paradigm citizens who seek to defend freedom from the tyranny of the world's Elite. In this highly anticipated interview, he discusses the spiritual dimensions of the goals of the world Elite to reduce population levels, selectively breed humanity and use them to serve their purposes, as evidenced by their own writings and quotations, and details of his eye-to-eye contact with them at Bohemian Grove. He challenges the American evangelical community to again pick up their traditional role in society of defending freedom and the weak and helpless, exposing the works of Darkness, rather than siding with the powerful and strong. 2008 Constitution Party Presidential nominee Pastor Chuck Baldwin also drops by, to discuss the state of our country and the American evangelical community and its leadership today, with a charge for our next actions to take.

Pastors to Holder: Bible still condemns homosexuality

Christian leaders stage rally in front of Justice Department to protest 'hate crimes' law

November 18, 2009
By Bob Unruh

WorldNetDaily

A former U.S. Navy chaplain who was removed from the service after he exercised his right to pray "in Jesus' name" against the wishes of his chain of command read the biblical condemnation of homosexuality at a rally in front of the U.S. Justice Department to protest the nation's new "hate crimes" law.

Two weeks ago, President Obama signed into law the "Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act" after Democrats strategically attached it to a "must-pass" $680 billion defense appropriations bill.

The law cracks down on any acts that could be linked to criticism of homosexuality or even the "perception" of homosexuality.

In response, pastors and other Christian leaders gathered yesterday to read from the Bible itself at a rally organized with the help of Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Coalition.

Former Navy Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt of PrayInJesusName.com read from Romans: "And they that commit such things are worthy of death."

"The government has to invade my thoughts to decide what my motive was in quoting the Bible," Klingenschmitt explained. "I can be prosecuted if the government thinks my motive was wrong."

Obama boasted of the "hate crimes" bill when he signed it into law.

"After more than a decade, we've passed inclusive hate crimes legislation to help protect our citizens from violence based on what they look like, who they love, how they pray or who they are," he said.

The rally took place in front of the offices of Attorney General Eric Holder, who supported the bill although he explained it does not protect all people equally. He is charged with enforcing the law.

Cass told WND that the event was to "assert our liberties, to register our concerns."

"We're going to press on looking for opportunities to challenge the law on its face," he said.

Some of the rally was captured by Christian Broadcasting Network on video:

"If this law is used to silence me or any of these preachers for speaking the truth, then we will be forced to conscientiously defy it," Rick Scarborough, president of Vision America, declared. "That is my calling as a Christian and my right as an American citizen."

Cass said, "We believe this is the biggest threat to religious free speech in the history of the United States."

Christmas carols to be required in public schools?

Teacher: 'Kids need to see that we believe in Jesus, and He is the Prince of Peace'

By Chelsea Schilling
WorldNetDaily

SACRAMENTO – A California substitute teacher is petitioning for a ballot initiative that would ensure public-school students are allowed to hear or perform Christmas music during the holiday season.

The state attorney general's office has given Merry Susan Hyatt and her brother David Joseph Hyatt permission to begin collecting signatures for their "Freedom to Present Christmas Music in Public School Classrooms or Assemblies" initiative.

Merry Hyatt, a substitute teacher from Redding, said she was troubled during a Christmas celebration at a school where she worked. She told the New America Foundation, "We were having Christmas without Jesus."

"This is to make sure that we are allowed to have Christmas carols, and no school board member or principal is going to tell us, 'No, you may not play "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" in your classroom,'" she told KTXL-TV News.

The Hyatts must collect 433,971 signatures from registered voters by March 29, 2010, to get the measure on California's ballot next June or November.

The initiative states:

52710. The people of California find and declare both of the following:

(a) Listening to, or performing, Christmas music during the holiday season is a longstanding American tradition and a significant element of our cultural heritage as Americans.

(b) The parents and guardians of public school children should have the right to decide whether or not their children may hear Christmas music in the classrooms and assemblies at those schools.

According to the statutory amendment, "Christmas music" includes, but is not limited to, "carols, songs, and instrumental works whose subject matter relates to the celebration of the Christmas holiday or to the season during which that holiday is observed."

Initiative requires public schools to provide opportunities "for listening to or performing Christmas music."

The initiative requires public elementary and secondary schools to provide "opportunities to its pupils for listening to or performing Christmas music at an appropriate time of year" and allows Christmas music to be incorporated into art and social studies curricula and for cultural enrichment during school assemblies.

If the measure passes, schools would be required to provide parents with written notice of presentation of Christmas music at least 21 days before the event. Parents would be given the option to exclude their student from the Christmas activities and accept an "appropriate alternative" activity.

Egyptian paper: Coins found bearing name of Joseph

Biblical patriarch ID'd in hieroglyphs, depiction of cow linked to pharoah's dream

WorldNetDaily

An image from the Middle East Media Research Institute revealing Egyptian coins tracked to the time of Joseph

Egyptian coins carrying the name of Joseph, the biblical patriarch whose arrival in Egypt as a slave eventually provided salvation for his family during decades of drought across the Middle East, have been discovered in a cache of antique items shelved in boxes in a museum, according to a new report.

The report from the Middle East Media Research Institute said the coins with Joseph's name and image were found in a pile of unsorted artifacts that had been stored at the Museum of Egypt.

MEMRI, which monitors and translates reports from Middle East publications and broadcasters, said the original report was in Egypt's Al Ahram newspaper in Cairo.

The newspaper said the discovery countered claims by some historians that coins were not used for trade in Egypt at the time the Bible records Joseph and the Jews migrated there.

Those historians have argued that trade was done by barter.

But researchers told the newspaper the minting dates of the coins in the cache have been matched to the period in which Joseph was recorded to be in Egypt.

"A thorough examination revealed that the coins bore the year in which they were minted and their value, or effigies of the pharaohs [who ruled] at the time of their minting. Some of the coins are from the time when Joseph lived in Egypt, and bear his name and portrait," said the newspaper report.

Are we ashamed?

WorldNetDaily

The Apostle Paul knew well that his open profession of faith in Jesus Christ could cost him his life, yet with boldness he proudly proclaimed, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth" (Romans 1:16). Unfortunately, Barack Obama and his administration apparently do not share Paul's courage.

On April 6, while in Turkey, Obama stated at a press conference that "we [American citizens] do not consider ourselves a Christian nation." And Obama has acted in accordance with his views!

Recently, on May 7, our National Day of Prayer, Obama refused to conduct any formal observance of the day. Although he did comply with a statute that requires him to sign a proclamation of a national day of prayer, he discontinued the practice of George W. Bush of inviting Catholics, Protestants and Jews to join at a formal ceremony in Washington, D.C., in recognition of this special day.

Before delivering an address on the economy on April 14 at Georgetown, one of the nation's leading Catholic universities, the White House issued an order that all religious symbols on display where the speech was to be given should be covered. Even the crucifix depiction of our Lord Jesus Christ and the gold letters "IHS" above His head were hidden from view.

Our forefathers were not ashamed of their Christian faith when they came to America in 1620 in search of religious liberty. Before setting foot on Plymouth Rock, they declared in the Mayflower Compact that they had undertaken their voyage "for ye glorie of God, and advancemente of ye Christian faith."

Nearly every school or university in America was founded on the Christian faith. Harvard was founded 16 years after the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. According to Harvard's Rules and Precepts in 1642, every student was "plainly instructed, and earnestly pressed to consider well, the maine end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ which is eternal life." Yale was founded in 1701 with the primary goal that "every student shall … know God in Jesus Christ." Princeton was founded by evangelical Presbyterians in 1746 to preserve and spread the fervor of the Great Awakening. The nation's first compulsory education law, adopted by Massachusetts in 1647, proclaimed that it was "one chief project of Satan to keep [children] from the knowledge of the scripture" and therefore required that parents ensure that their children learn to read and write. The most common texts in early American schools were the Bible and the Christian "New England Primer."

Unfortunately, many of the young people who attend public schools and universities in America today are being persecuted for their profession of faith in Christ. For example, Renee Griffith, 2008 co-valedictorian at Butte High School in Montana, planned to tell her fellow graduates that during her high school experience she had learned to be a person with a purpose from God with a passionate love for Him. Her co-valedictorian expressed confidence that "the power for change is inherent in humanity and each individual" and that "we all have the framework for greatness and impact." His humanistic faith was acceptable to the authorities, but just before the ceremony, officials ordered Renee to remove the words "Christ" and "God" from her speech and replace them with "sharing my faith" and "lived with a purpose, a purpose derived from my faith and based on a love of mankind." She refused, and she was therefore barred from speaking at her graduation. She sued, and her case is currently before the Montana 13th Judicial District Court.

In Colorado, high school valedictorian Erica Corder mentioned Jesus Christ in her graduation speech, and her principal then ordered her to sign an apology as a condition for receiving her diploma. She sued, and her case is currently before the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

And in a Nevada high school, valedictorian Brittany McComb strayed from her script to say that Jesus had filled a void in her life, and as she said, "God's love is so great that he gave up – gave up his only Son …," her microphone was shut off in mid-sentence. The liberal 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals recently ruled that her free speech and equal protection rights were not violated, and she is appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court.

It is encouraging that so many of our youth are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. Like our forefathers, they know America is a Christian nation. Even the United States Supreme Court in the Church of the Holy Trinity case in 1892, recognized that a volume of unofficial declarations, "together with a mass of organic utterances," solemnly declare that "this is a Christian nation." It is a shame that our president and some of our other public officials do not share that view.

Like Paul, we must not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ and should recognize and appreciate our Christian heritage. Then, when our battles are over, we can proudly say, as did Paul, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith!" (2 Timothy 4:7).

'What makes you think it's natural to be heterosexual?': Christian teacher suspended over gay rights promotion row

Mail Online
By Jonathan Petre

A senior teacher has been suspended from his £50,000-a-year job after he complained that a training day for staff was used to promote gay rights.

Kwabena Peat, 54, was one of several Christian staff who walked out of the compulsory session at a North London school after an invited speaker questioned why people thought heterosexuality was natural.

The presentation was given by Sue Sanders, a co-founder of the Schools Out organisation which campaigns for gay equality in education.

According to Mr Peat, Ms Sanders, herself a lesbian, said that staff who did not accept that being gay was normal had ‘issues’ they had to deal with.

Mr Peat, a history teacher who is also a head of year, said he was upset that people who disagreed on religious grounds had no chance to respond.

He wrote privately to the three staff members who organised the session, complaining about Ms Sanders’ ‘aggressive’ presentation. In his letter, he cited the Bible and warned that practising homosexuals risked God’s ‘wrath’.

But the staff complained to the school’s principal that they felt ‘harassed and intimidated’ by the letter and, after an investigation, Mr Peat was placed on paid leave. He is now being supported by the Christian Legal Centre.

‘I am very disappointed, although not shocked,’ the married father of three said last night. ‘I am the one who has been harassed and intimidated – for expressing my religious views.’

Turin Shroud 'could be genuine as carbon-dating was flawed'

New evidence suggests the Turin Shroud could have been the cloth in which Jesus was buried, as experiments that concluded it was a medieval fake were flawed.

By Stephen Adams

Turin Shroud could be genuine, scientist has said

Radio carbon dating carried out in 1988 was performed on an area of the relic that was repaired in the 16th century, according to Ray Rogers, who helped lead the Shroud of Turin Research Project (STRP).

At the time he argued firmly that the shroud, which bears a Christlike image, was a clever forgery.

But in a video made shortly before his death three years ago, he said facts had come to light that indicated the shroud could be genuine.

Rogers, a chemist from the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, said: "I don't believe in miracles that defy the laws of nature. After the 1988 investigation I'd given up on the shroud.

"But now I am coming to the conclusion that it has a very good chance of being the piece of cloth that was used to bury the historic Jesus."

Pastor now tells how to prep for imminent catastrophe

Wilkerson says be ready, 'See the salvation of the Lord'

2009 WorldNetDaily

A nationally known pastor and author who predicts an imminent catastrophe of God's judgment on America is now telling concerned Christians it is time for peace and preparation, not panic.

"This is what I hear the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart concerning my own spiritual response to impending calamity," writes David Wilkerson, author of "The Cross and the Switchblade" and founder of a ministry to troubled New York street kids, on his blog today. "It is simply this: Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord."

As WND reported, Wilkerson drew attention by publishing on his blog over the weekend a vision for impending fires and riots sweeping through New York City and other cities across the country.

"An earth-shattering calamity is about to happen," he writes. "It is going to be so frightening, we are all going to tremble – even the godliest among us."

"It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires," he explains. "What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath."

After such dire words, Wilkerson was asked how people should respond to his message, and, with today's blog post, the pastor answered.

"I can only answer by sharing what the Holy Spirit is speaking to my own heart and what I am to do," writes Wilkerson. "I shared that I was led in a practical way to lay aside a month’s supply of food — because I have witnessed the panic in the wake of terrorism."

Wilkerson's call to prepare for catastrophic circumstances comes during a time when, as WND reported, the economic crisis has prompted a surge of business in the emergency preparedness industry.

Bill Heid of Survival Seeds, a company that sells "banks" of high-yielding vegetable seeds sealed for long-term storage, told WND, "The survivalist mentality used to be considered a fringe element, but now that economic times are such as they are, many more average, regular folks are adopting the same set of preparations."

But Wilkerson also sees a spiritual application of his message, calling Christians to exhibit peace and hope in God's salvation in the midst of fearful times.

"My warning is just one voice among many who are saying the same thing," writes Wilkerson. "We may all tremble for a season, but those who truly know God’s Word will be quickly comforted by the Holy Spirit. We will be baptized with a great peace – a supernatural quietness – which will be a tremendous witness to the fearful multitudes."

Best-selling author, Teen Challenge founder, sees 'earth-shattering calamity about to happen'

David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson

A respected pastor, best-selling author and founder of a major ministry to teens predicts an imminent "an earth-shattering calamity" centered in New York City that will spread to major urban areas across the country and around the world – part of what he sees as a judgment from God.

David Wilkerson, author of "The Cross and the Switchblade," a book about his ministry to troubled New York street kids that was later made into a movie starring Pat Boone, tells readers of his blog this weekend that he is "compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message" about his prediction.

"An earth-shattering calamity is about to happen," he writes. "It is going to be so frightening, we are all going to tremble – even the godliest among us."

Wilkerson's vision is of fires raging through New York City.

"It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires – such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago," he explains. "There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting – including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written, "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

Wilkerson is the founding pastor of Times Square Church in New York City, where he launched a ministry to gang members and drug addicts in 1958. He is a highly regarded mentor to other pastors in evangelical circles and travels the world holding conference for other Christian ministers.

His work in New York in the 1950s and 1960s led to the formation of Teen Challenge – a nationwide ministry to reach out to people with life-controlling habits. Teen Challenge has grown to include 173 residential programs and numerous evangelism outreach centers in the United States, and 241 centers in 77 other countries. The program claims a recovery rate of 86 percent.

The story of Wilkerson's first five years of ministry in New York is told in "The Cross and the Switchblade," a book he co-authored in 1963. The book became a best-selling phenomenon and more than 15 million copies have been distributed in over 30 languages.

"God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations," claims Wilkerson. "He is destroying the secular foundations." Wilkerson urges everyone to stockpile a 30-day supply of food and other necessities to deal with the catastrophe he foresees.

"I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off," Wilkerson concluded in his message. "I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose."

AMERICA NEEDS A SPIRITUAL BAILOUT

By Coach Dave Daubenmire
January 29, 2009
NewsWithViews.com

With all of the talk of a financial bailout in America I thought it might be appropriate to broach the subject that perhaps America is in greater need of a Spiritual bailout. With such thievery emanating from Washington DC, Wall Street, et al, perhaps it is time for God’s people to get serious. America’s problems are Spiritual folks, not financial. The obedience of God’s people holds the key to our nation’s future.

Jesus already bailed us out once by paying our sin debt upon the cross. His death was the only way to reconcile God’s books because “the wages of sin is death. Christ picked up my “sin tab”, the fee required by God for my disobedience. Even though I am secure about my life beyond this world I sure wish He would do something about this mess we call America.

He could, you know. God is still in control and the Bible teaches that He is a loving, compassionate, forgiving Creator. But He is first and foremost “just.” He must do what He says He will do because He is bound by His Word. He puts his Word above His name. If His Word is no good, His name is no good.

Is He still gracious enough to offer us another “Spiritual bailout?” His Word says He is. Remember, He is bound by His Word. Here is His promise “If My People…”

But will America turn back to Jesus? Would God spare His Wrath towards America if we did? If a true spirit of repentance would hit the churches of this land would God hold back our much deserved spanking? He has done it before.

Michele and I were reading Lamentations 4 and 5 for our morning devotions. As we were reading it I saw a picture of modern-day America and was reminded of what Solomon had said, “There is nothing new under the sun.” It seems as if God’s people have been here before. Is it too late for us to learn from history?

I love the Word of God, especially in the rhythm and Truth of the King James Version. But this morning, after reading from the King James, I checked out Lamentations from “The Message Bible”, which is NOT a valid interpretation of the Word of God. But I feel that the descriptions written below paint a vivid picture of what the judgment of God looks like when it befalls a nation.

With a world in turmoil and teetering on the precipice of financial collapse is it possible that what the Spirit of the Lord wrote through the Prophet Jeremiah in 586 BC regarding the destruction of Jerusalem is a warning to us today of what happens when a nation forgets God? We think God loves us more because we are “Christians.”

Lamentations 4 and 5

How gold is treated like dirt, the finest gold thrown out with the garbage, priceless jewels scattered all over, jewels loose in the gutters. And the people of Zion, once prized, far surpassing their weight in gold, are now treated like cheap pottery, like everyday pots and bowls, mass-produced by a potter.

Even wild jackals nurture their babies; give them their breasts to suckle. But my people have turned cruel to their babies, like an ostrich in the wilderness. Babies have nothing to drink. Their tongues stick to the roofs of their mouths. Little children ask for bread but no one gives them so much as a crust.

People used to the finest cuisine forage for food in the streets. People used to the latest in fashions pick through the trash for something to wear. The evil guilt of my dear people was worse than the sin of Sodom—The city was destroyed in a flash, and no one around to help.

The splendid and sacred nobles once glowed with health. Their bodies were robust and ruddy, their beards like carved stone. But now they are smeared with soot, unrecognizable in the street, their bones sticking out, their skin dried out like old leather. Better to have been killed in battle than killed by starvation. Better to have died of battle wounds than to slowly starve to death.

Nice and kindly women boiled their own children for supper. This was the only food in town when my dear people were broken. God let all his anger loose, held nothing back.
He poured out his raging wrath. He set a fire in Zion that burned it to the ground.

The kings of the earth couldn't believe it. World rulers were in shock, watching old enemies march in big as you please, right through Jerusalem's gates. Because of the sins of her prophets and the evil of her priests, who exploited good and trusting people, robbing them of their lives,

These prophets and priests blindly grope their way through the streets, grimy and stained from their dirty lives, wasted by their wasted lives, shuffling from fatigue, dressed in rags.

People yell at them, "Get out of here, dirty old men! Get lost, don't touch us, don't infect us!" They have to leave town. They wander off. Nobody wants them to stay here. Everyone knows, wherever they wander, that they've been kicked out of their own hometown. God himself scattered them. No longer does he look out for them. He has nothing to do with the priests; He cares nothing for the elders.

We watched and watched, wore our eyes out looking for help. And nothing. We mounted our lookouts and looked for the help that never showed up. They tracked us down, those hunters. It wasn't safe to go out in the street. Our end was near, our days numbered. We were doomed.

They came after us faster than eagles in flight, pressed us hard in the mountains, ambushed us in the desert. Our king, our life's breath, the anointed of God, was caught in their traps—Our king under whose protection we always said we'd live.

Celebrate while you can, O Edom! Live it up in Uz! For it won't be long before you drink this cup, too. You'll find out what it's like to drink God's wrath, get drunk on God's wrath and wake up with nothing, stripped naked. And that's it for you, Zion. The punishment's complete. You won't have to go through this exile again. But Edom, your time is coming: He'll punish your evil life, put all your sins on display.

"Remember, God, all we've been through. Study our plight, the black mark we've made in history. Our precious land has been given to outsiders, our homes to strangers. Orphans we are, not a father in sight, and our mothers no better than widows. We have to pay to drink our own water. Even our firewood comes at a price. We're nothing but slaves, bullied and bowed, worn out and without any rest. We sold ourselves to Assyria and Egypt just to get something to eat.

Our parents sinned and are no more, and now we're paying for the wrongs they did.

Slaves rule over us; there's no escape from their grip. We risk our lives to gather food in the bandit-infested desert. Our skin has turned black as an oven, dried out like old leather from the famine. Our wives were raped in the streets in Zion, and our virgins in the cities of Judah. They hanged our princes by their hands, dishonored our elders.

Strapping young men were put to women's work, mere boys forced to do men's work.
The city gate is empty of wise elders. Music from the young is heard no more.
All the joy is gone from our hearts. Our dances have turned into dirges. The crown of glory has toppled from our head.

Woe! Woe! Would that we'd never sinned! Because of all this we're heartsick; we can't see through the tears. On Mount Zion, wrecked and ruined, jackals pace and prowl.
And yet, God, you're sovereign still, your throne intact and eternal.
So why do you keep forgetting us? Why dump us and leave us like this?

Bring us back to you, God—we're ready to come back. Give us a fresh start. As it is, you've cruelly disowned us. You've been so very angry with us."

It starts in the pulpits my friends. The only thing that can save us from the wrath to come is a Church heart-broken over her sin-sick condition. We must put away all of the church-growth gimmicks, and seeker-sensitive slop, and cry for mercy to the only one who can stem the tide.

What if the churches in America called for a solemn fast? What if every Christian in America went a week without food…appealing to a merciful God? Perhaps if we fast and pray now, we will be able to eat in the future.

The thought of “nice and kindly” mothers eating their babies is unthinkable. So was abortion fifty years ago.

If God’s Grace is amazing, what must His wrath look like? I don’t think I want to know.

Christians Under the Influence of Another Spirit

Lighthouse Trails
Warren Smith

The apostle Paul went to great lengths to warn the Corinthians not to be deceived by a "Jesus" that wasn't Jesus Christ the Son of God, a spirit that wasn't the Holy Spirit and a gospel that was not the true biblical Gospel (2 Corinthians 11:4). Throughout the New Testament, believers are continually warned not to be deceived by spiritual teachings and experiences that are not from God. Jesus Christ specifically warned his disciples that spiritual deception would be a sign of the end (Matthew 24:3-4).

Today it is very sad to see so many believers falling under the influence of the same spirit that influenced me when I was in the "new age." This spirit says that it is a time for "breakthroughs" and for the fulfillment of our "destiny"; that there is something "new" and exciting in the wind. This teaching claims that we are in the midst of a great "transition" that will result in a "paradigm shift," and that through "new revelation" and "personal experience" God is in the process of taking the church to a "new dimension" and to a whole "new level." Many Christian leaders these days are so sure that what they are hearing and experiencing is from God, they are rarely testing the spirits, or even considering the possibility that they are being deceived.

The first century Bereans tested their leaders and tested their teachings as they "searched the scriptures daily" to see "whether those things were so" (Acts 17:11). Apostles, prophets, pastors, and teachers were always subject to God's holy Word. "New revelation" never nullified nor superseded scripture. The Bereans were not impressed by supernatural power and spiritual experiences that had not been tested by the Word of God. They did not depend on signs and wonders and miracles. They depended on the authority and reliability and trustworthiness of Scripture:
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)
Paul taught that if he or anyone else preached any other gospel--"new revelation" or otherwise--that person should be completely disregarded (Galatians 1:8). The Bible warns over and over again that we should not allow ourselves to be influenced or intimidated by teachings that originate not from God but from the spirit world and from the hearts of men. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" (1 Timothy 4:1). "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" (Mark 7:7).

What had been called "new age" is now being presented as "new gospel." These "new gospel" teachings are not new and have actually been around for centuries in one form or another. Whether it was ancient gnosticism, the occultic teachings of Helena Blavatsky (1831-1891) and Alice A. Bailey (1880-1949), or the present day "new gospel" channelings, the bottom line has always been the same--everyone is a part of God.

According to the "new gospel," Christ is not a person. It is an office. The "new gospel" teaches that while Jesus of Nazareth occupied the office during His active ministry, He no longer holds that same position. Today the office of "Christ" is occupied by someone else. And this "someone else" is presently in the process of establishing contact with humanity.

This "Christ" intimates that he is already in the world awaiting mankind's call. "Concerned" that humanity is in peril and facing possible extinction, this "Christ" explains that his "new gospel" will unify the world's major religions and bring peace to the world. He has communicated these "new gospel" teachings to his designated teachers, who in turn are now conveying these same teachings to the rest of the world.

This "reinvented" Christ of the "new gospel" teaches that all of humanity is the body of Christ. He, as the "Christ," is the head. This "Christ" states humanity's dilemma is that we have forgotten who we are. We are not "sinners" separate from God. We are all part of the one body of Christ and the one body of God. Salvation does not come by grace from accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God. Rather it is achieved--when we accept ourselves as Christ and when we accept ourselves as God.

The "new gospel" teaches that when humanity collectively accepts and experiences itself as being a part of Christ and a part of God, we not only save ourselves, we save our world. The "Christ" of the "new gospel" warns that the hour is late. Peace must come. He will help. He has a plan. But everyone must play their part.

With "new revelation," often accompanied by direct personal spiritual experience, people are being taught that because they are a part of God they are actually "at-one" with God and all creation. This "new gospel" teaches when people have what is described as their "God potential" or "Christ within" supernaturally "activated," they actually experience themselves as a part of the "one body" of God which is all mankind. As these same people unite and join together in remembering and experiencing their "oneness" with God and with each other, they feel they are doing the "work" that is necessary to prepare the way for Christ's return. Mutilated Christian girl, 10, forgives attackers

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

'They were out of their minds, they do not know the love of Jesus'

By Chelsea Schilling

Namrata Nayak (photo: Asia News)

Hindu extremists may have burned a 10-year-old Christian girl's face, inflicted shrapnel wounds on 40 percent of her body and forced her family to hide in a forest and flee to a refugee camp in Orissa, India, but her plight hasn't shaken her faith and thankfulness to God this season.

"Christmas is a time to thank the baby Jesus who saved me from the fire and saved my face which was disfigured and wounded," Namrata Nayak told Asia News.

Nayak's face was severely mutilated after Hindu extremists bombed the home where she was staying on Aug. 26. They broke into the house and burned it while Nayak and her siblings hid in a small bathroom. Before exiting the home, they left a bomb in a dresser, according to the report.

While the little girl surveyed the destruction, the bomb detonated and burned her face.

The explosion also lodged shrapnel into her face, hands and back.

Nayak's mother, Sudhamani, came running out of the forest where she was hiding.

"We saw everything burned, and feared that everyone had died in the flames," Sudhamani said. "Instead, thanks to God, everyone was safe. Only that my daughter had been wounded. But Jesus took care of her. We took her to the hospital in Berhampur, still unconscious and badly hurt."

Nayak spent 45 days recovering in the hospital. Despite all her troubles, she is cheerful and giving thanks to God for healing her.

"There is so much pain and suffering, and I don't know how long the special forces will protect us," she told Asia News. "But Christmas is a time of gratitude. I am afraid that my people will still be attacked, but this is our life. If God has saved me, he can save other Christians too."

The Hindu attackers have vowed to launch another widespread assault on Christians during Christmas. The violence began after Christians were blamed for the death of Hindu leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati on Aug. 24. They continue to be persecuted even though Maoists openly admitted to murdering Saraswati.

Hindus have offered money, food and alcohol to anyone who murders Christians and destroys their homes – especially pastors. Thousands of homes and churches have been destroyed, and Christians have been forced to flee the violence. Many have been doused with kerosene and torched after refusing to renounce their Christian faith.

Nonetheless, Nayak urges India's Christians to forgive their Hindu attackers.

"[W]e forgive the Hindu radicals who attacked us, who burned our homes," she told Asia News. "They were out of their minds, they do not know the love of Jesus. For this reason, I now want to study so that when I am older I can tell everyone how much Jesus loves us. This is my future."

Nayak said her life plan is to share the message of God's love.

"The world has seen my face destroyed by the fire, now it must come to know my smile full of love and peace," she said. "I want to dedicate my life to spreading the Gospel."

Newsweek and Bush: Both are Bible morons

(from a story on WorldNetDaily by Joe Kovacs)

Holy moly!

What in the name of all that is good and godly is going on?

In a season supposed to be filled with glad tidings of God echoing throughout the land, we have the president of the United States questioning the Bible's literal content and a major newsmagazine suggesting the Good Book has no problem with same-sex marriage.

In case you missed it, President George W. Bush was asked this week if the Bible is literally true.

"You know. Probably not," Bush told ABC's Cynthia McFadden. "No, I'm not a literalist, but I think you can learn a lot from it, but I do think that the New Testament for example is ... has got ... You know, the important lesson is 'God sent a son."'

He also said he thinks God's creation of the Earth could have taken place along with human evolution.

"I don't think it's incompatible with the scientific proof that there is evolution," he said.

And then there are the morons at Newsweek.

Next week's cover story titled "Our Mutual Joy" actually suggests the Bible argues in favor of homosexual marriage.

Huh?

What Bible are these doofuses reading?

I don't know about you, but I am absolutely fed up with idiocy like this.

First, regarding Bush's statements, I don't know why he has such a problem with believing the literal truth of Scripture.

If he agrees a supernatural event took place when God the Father sent His Son to Earth by miraculously impregnating a young woman who never had sex, then why is it so hard to believe the rest?

If God can create the planet, then why can't He scoop up some dirt, shape it in the image of Himself and then breathe the breath of life into the first man?

Is it impossible? For us, yes. But obviously, not for the eternal Creator.

Why believe one miracle, and not any other? Are we supposed to just pick and choose which fantastic miracle to believe?

On Newsweek's ludicrous claim, here's the real truth. The Bible never mentions any case of same-sex marriage, but it soundly condemns homosexuality.

I know some people hear conflicting messages these days and rarely crack open their Bibles, so here's a quick lesson.

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." (Leviticus 18:22, King James Version)

"Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin." (Leviticus 18:22, New Living Translation)

In fact, God finds homosexual activity so abhorrent, he called for the death penalty for it.

"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13, KJV)

Newsweek's Lisa Miller calls such verses "throwaway lines in a peculiar text given over to codes for living in the ancient Jewish world. ..." What kind of psychobabble is that?

Even the ancient city of Sodom was known for its sexual perversion, and was firebombed by God shortly after the homosexuals there demanded to have sex with two of God's angels who were appearing in the form of men:

"They shouted to Lot, 'Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out so we can have sex with them.'" (Genesis 19:5, NLT)

If you've ever been to or heard of a "gay"-pride parade in recent times, keep in mind that flaunting perversion is not necessarily new.

"They parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves." (Isaiah 3:9, NIV)

The New Testament brings up Sodom quite often, with examples such as:

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." (Jude 1:7)

Ladies and gentlemen, I am fed up with people lying about the Bible.

I'm fed up with people twisting the words of Holy Scripture to fit some depraved, politically correct, anti-God agenda.

I'm fed up with fables and misconceptions about the Bible that have endured for centuries.

I'm fed up with people saying the Bible doesn't mean what it says.

It means exactly what it says and it says what it means.

And just in case you never heard the Good News, here it is:

God is coming back to put an end to this nonsense.

He will raise people out of their graves, granting eternal life to many to administer the kingdom of God – the actual government of God – here on Earth.

He'll finally oust the unseen reason behind this mess: the devil, the current "god of this world," "the prince of the power of the air," "the father of lies" and "the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience."

Mr. Bush, I pray you realize one day the message of the New Testament is a lot more than "God sent a son."

Yes, change is coming. A regime change the powers that be don't want.

The kingdom of God is on its way.

And God isn't bringing bringing democracy and the American system with Him. The true Messiah doesn't need to be elected.

Now that's some real glad tidings.
