Gerald Celente: American dream debunked
Tens of thousands of people move to the US for the abundance of opportunities and many believe if you work hard and get an education you will achieve success. But that may not be necessarily the case. According to a Nobel Prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz, the US inequality gap is harder to overcome than ever before. Gerald Celente, publisher for The Trends Journal, joins us with his take on the American Dream turned nightmare.

Gerald Celente Is Robbed By MF Global/Corzine
Gerald Celente speaks about politics and morality
This is a quick bite of an interview we are planning on using in an upcoming documentary project about the collapse of the U.S. economy. I had the chance to interview Gerald and one of the most important things he talked about as a solution to all our problems was our own morality. It's a simple concept but unfortunately it is overlooked way too often.

Gerald Celente: Economy is going to get much worse
A recent report reveals that the US created zero new jobs last month. The last time this happened was in 1945. The unemployment rate is still at 9.1% and projected numbers for the next year show the average unemployment rate at about 9%. With these numbers, many Americans question if President Obama's jobs creation plan, due to be unveiled next week, will have any effect on the economy. Gerald Celente, director at Trends Research Institute, helps us peer into the future.

Celente Slams “Cartoon News Network” GOP Debate
“It’s the presidential reality show”
Steve Watson
Prisonplanet.com
June 15, 2011
Trends forecaster and social commentator Gerald Celente has slammed this week’s GOP presidential debate hosted by CNN as a “disgraceful” indication of the decline of America.
Monday’s debate in New Hampshire was characterized by softball questions and discussions of non issues, culminating in the hosts asking each member of the GOP field to name their favourite style of pizza.
Other questions included “iPhone or Blackberry?”, “Pepsi or Coca”, “Dancing with the Stars or American Idol?” and “Spicy or mild?”
“It’s disgraceful, CNN is the ‘Cartoon News Network’. Only somebody with a child’s mind would ask such mindless questions.” Celente told RT in a riveting interview yesterday.
“It’s the presidential reality show. We just saw it live.” Celente added.
“To ask such childish questions at a time when I get letters everyday from people who are losing everything. People that have had jobs for 35 years have no work at all, they’re losing their homes, our soldiers are getting killed, the wars are draining the Treasury, and a little clown asks ‘what do you like – deep dish or thin crust? Leno or Conan? Come on.” Celente said.
“America has gone from Sinatra to Snooki stupid. It’s really indicative of where the country is heading – that is the importance of last night’s debate.”
The CEO of Trends Research Institute added a caveat, naming Congressman Ron Paul as the only person involved with any credibility whatsoever.
“He is the only one talking about bringing home the troops, about legalizing marijuana, about ending these wars on terror, on drugs and other kinds of wars.” Celente said. “None of these candidates, again with the exception of Paul, is indistinguishable from the other.”
Watch the interview:
While Ron Paul’s performance in the debate was once again what his followers have come to expect, another sterling example of holding firm to his anti-big government, anti-war, libertarian principles, the mainstream media touted Paul as a “loser”, instead claiming that Michelle Bachman, who voted FOR the PATRIOT Act whilst simultaneously claiming to be at the center of the Tea Party movement, was the stand out candidate.
Be it far from we here at Prisonplanet to extol the virtues of one Bill Maher, but he was one of the only commentators to appear on CNN and tell it like it is.
“She did well by what standard? Because she’s able to speak and complete sentences?” Maher told Anderson Cooper. “The standards are so low, lets be honest, we’re judging her against Sarah Palin.” he added.
The HBO host then added that if he had to vote for any of the candidates it would be Ron Paul.
“I would vote for Ron Paul if I had to pick,” Maher said. “I mean Ron Paul is at least not a panderer. He’s sincere. He’s got the right ideas about getting our troops home.”
“And, you know, I like Ron Paul. I think he’s cut from a different cloth than the rest of those people, who are, of course, selling their souls to the corporate interests who back them, and who have just horrible, society-killing ideas about America and either don’t know what’s real or don’t care,” he added.
Like it or not, Maher’s analysis is important because it reveals how Ron Paul’s stance on real issues bridges the false left right paradigm.
At the same time as Maher was praising Paul, so too was Glenn Beck. Both said virtually the same thing about Paul, highlighting the fact that Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who stands any chance against Obama in the 2012 election, precisely because his rejection of interventionist foreign policy, his avocation of sound monetary policy and his concern for the protection of civil liberties resonates with many Americans of either political persuasion.

Gerald Celente Loses It - When This Man Acts Like This It Means - WAKE UP!!!!
Gerald Celente has not been wrong in just about every prediction and assessment I have witnessed. I have never seen him blow off the handle like this. This is dire warning for sure that if the American Sheep do not wake up and stand up for themselves we are going to be in trouble.
Take a second to put the pieces together. Look at the ridiculous media attention on the government shutdown. If they know something this gives them the perfect reason to take temporary shelter in the bunkers while we take the heat for their undoings. America you better wake up and realize the mainstream news is LYING to you!!! They don't care about you one F**king bit... God help us -- it's Nazi Germany all over again.

And Now We're Headed For The GREATEST Depression, Says Gerald Celente
The fake "recovery" was nice while it lasted, says famous apocalyptic forecaster Gerald Celente, founder of the Trends Research Institute. But now the fun's over, and we're headed for what Celente describes as the "Greatest Depression."
Specifically, the always startling Celente says the country is headed for rising unemployment, poverty, and violent class warfare as the government efforts to keep the economy going begin to fail.
The crux of the problem, Celente argues, is that the middle class has been wiped out. America used to be a land of opportunity for all, where hard-working people could build their own small businesses in their own communities and live prosperous and fulfilling lives. But now a collusion of state and corporate interests that Celente describes as "fascism" have conspired to help only the biggest companies and the richest Americans. This has put a shocking amount of the country's wealth in the hands of a privileged few and left the rest of the country to subsist on chicken-feed wages and low job satisfaction as Wal-Mart "associates" -- or worse.
The answer, Celente says, is to bring back the laws that prevented huge companies from getting so big and powerful, and put some opportunity back in the hands of ordinary people. But doing that is going to take a while. And in the meantime, we're headed for trouble.
(Celente's dead right about U.S. wealth inequality, by the way. It's shocking. And it's getting worse. For a quick overview, see "15 Mind-Blowing Facts About Wealth And Inequality In America)

Inside Top Secret America - PBS FRONTLINE

Coming to FRONTLINE Fall 2010
FRONTLINE goes inside the Post's two-year examination into the massive, unwieldy, top-secret world the government has created in response to 9/11.
STORIES FROM THE WASHINGTON POST
FRONTLINE goes inside The Washington Post's major two-year examination into the massive, unwieldy, top secret world the U.S. government has created in response to 9/11. Coming fall 2010 to PBS.
A major examination by Washington Post reporters Dana Priest and William Arkin is the subject of an upcoming FRONTLINE documentary produced by veteran producer Michael Kirk. The Post's two-year investigation looks at the top secret world the government created in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001—a world that has become so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that few know how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or how many agencies duplicate work being done elsewhere.

A hidden world, growing beyond control
The top-secret world the government created in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, has become so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies do the same work.
These are some of the findings of a two-year investigation by The Washington Post that discovered what amounts to an alternative geography of the United States, a Top Secret America hidden from public view and lacking in thorough oversight. After nine years of unprecedented spending and growth, the result is that the system put in place to keep the United States safe is so massive that its effectiveness is impossible to determine.
The investigation's other findings include:
* Some 1,271 government organizations and 1,931 private companies work on programs related to counterterrorism, homeland security and intelligence in about 10,000 locations across the United States.
* An estimated 854,000 people, nearly 1.5 times as many people as live in Washington, D.C., hold top-secret security clearances.
* In Washington and the surrounding area, 33 building complexes for top-secret intelligence work are under construction or have been built since September 2001. Together they occupy the equivalent of almost three Pentagons or 22 U.S. Capitol buildings - about 17 million square feet of space.
* Many security and intelligence agencies do the same work, creating redundancy and waste. For example, 51 federal organizations and military commands, operating in 15 U.S. cities, track the flow of money to and from terrorist networks.
* Analysts who make sense of documents and conversations obtained by foreign and domestic spying share their judgment by publishing 50,000 intelligence reports each year - a volume so large that many are routinely ignored.
These are not academic issues; lack of focus, not lack of resources, was at the heart of the Fort Hood shooting that left 13 dead, as well as the Christmas Day bomb attempt thwarted not by the thousands of analysts employed to find lone terrorists but by an alert airline passenger who saw smoke coming from his seatmate.
They are also issues that greatly concern some of the people in charge of the nation's security.
"There has been so much growth since 9/11 that getting your arms around that - not just for the CIA, for the secretary of defense - is a challenge," Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said in an interview with The Post last week.

Dollar Plunges After UN Call To Ditch Greenback
U.S. economy enters “total freefall” as double-dip recession looms

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Thursday, July 1, 2010
The dollar plunged today following a United Nations report which called for the greenback to be replaced as the global reserve currency by the International Monetary Fund’s special drawing rights (SDRs).
The dollar’s trend of moving inversely to the stock market has seemingly been snapped, with the Dow Jones falling over 100 points at one stage today. However, as soon as markets began to claw back losses, the greenback failed to follow suit, indicating that whichever way markets move, the dollar is in big trouble.
The UN report called for “abandoning the U.S. dollar as the main global reserve currency, saying it has been unable to safeguard value,” according to Reuters.
“A new global reserve system could be created, one that no longer relies on the United States dollar as the single major reserve currency,” stated the report, adding that this new system should not be based on a basket of currencies, but on IMF-controlled SDR’s.
Following globalist moves to restore confidence in the single currency euro in the aftermath of the Bilderberg and G20 meetings, the concern has shifted from sovereign debt issues of countries like Greece and Spain, to the worsening state of the U.S. economy and the risk of a double-dip recession.
In the immediate aftermath of the 2010 Bilderberg meeting in Spain, at which globalists resolved to save the euro from collapse in an effort to restore confidence in their ultimate goal of a global single currency, the euro began to make a recovery and today rose against the dollar by over 1.5 per cent.
A cascade of negative U.S. economic data was released today, with job figures turning sour once again.
“Jobless claims were a disaster, coming in at 472k, on expectations of 455k,” reports Zero Hedge. “The economy has now entered the “total freefall” area”.
The dollar is being targeted for destruction because the financial terrorists who caused the economic collapse in the first place want to exploit the crisis in order to institute a new global currency issued by a global central bank.
In May, IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn told elitists in Zurich Switzerland that the introduction of a global currency backed by a global central bank would act as the “lender of last resort” in the event of a severe economic crisis, another lurch towards fascist centralization of power in pursuit of a system of global governance.
As Gerald Celente explains in the clip below, all major currencies are doomed in the long term, which is why many European countries are beginning moves to revert back to their pre-euro denominations.
