  1. U.S has a greater role to play in securing the Internet not only for protect its strategic interests, but also to protect interests of many other countries across the world, which are directly or indirectly dependent on U.S economy. A sophisticated cyber-attack on a key installation, can result in huge loses and further slow-down the economy. We need a long-term strategy. Some of the ways to strengthen cyber defenses include encouraging organizations to place high priority on Internet security, hiring professionals certified by organizations such as ec council, creating awareness among the general public, conducting competitions to attract cyber warriors and introducing cyber security courses at all levels.
