On Not Loving the World
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
FOLLOW JESUS, NOT ANYONE ELSE
"In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12)
Are we able to receive Jesus' Words here in this saying? For Messiah plainly says that to treat people the same way you want them to treat you, "is the Law and the Prophets".
Matthew chapter 22: "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And He said to him, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' "This is the great and foremost commandment. "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 22:36-40)
Those who follow Messiah have both a simpler Way, as well as a much more difficult Way. The simplicity is Jesus telling his follower's plainly that to love God and your neighbor IS all the rules, regulations, and "the Law" (that encompassed in the Torah) that one is to live by. The difficulty is that his followers retain the sinful nature which rejects the living out of those two great commandments.
Jesus of Nazareth says, "For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted." & "But it shall not be so among you. But whoever desires to be great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever of you desires to become first, he shall be servant of all." & "I am the Good Shepherd…and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, and one Shepherd. (Luke 18:14, Mark 10:43-44, John 10:11,16)
“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life…”, and “All who are of the truth listen to MY voice.” ?
THOSE ETERNALLY VALUABLE TRUTHS
“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no one gets to the Father except through me.”
"If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
The Father sent One beloved, error-free Messenger who can bring freedom from your hopelessness, but his voice has been drowned out, hidden, obscured.
THE BELOVED ONE SAYS PLAINLY:
"All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him". (Matthew 11:27)
... and...
"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Messiah Joshua whom You have sent. (John 17:3)
It is a difficult truth to receive, but in truth, the teachings of the One who calls himself the Light of the world have been covered, buried and for all practical purposes, lost. His Voice has been drowned out by thousands of other voices. In fact, at the most essential level, his Voice has been replaced by a book, ‘the Bible’ or "the Scripture" or "God's Word", by a clever slight-of-hand which says that the book IS his voice.
His statements, “All who are of the truth listen to MY voice”; and "nor does anyone know the Father except the Son"; have been changed (and thus corrupted) to:
‘All who are of the truth listen to the bible’ with all its millions of words and its many contradictory precepts, accounts and teachings; and 'Nor does anyone know the Father except the other people who wrote the bible', thus pointing people away from the ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS THE FATHER.

ReplyDeleteThe one the Light refers to as the prince of the world is the author of the great lie, just as he is the father of all lies.
Perhaps the reader has believed the falsehood that the bible has no contradictions? Here is just one of many:
“Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with the utmost hatred; they have become my enemies.” (Psalms 139:21-22) [of course the biblians/paulians say that this was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit]
...and...
"A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace." (Ecclesiastes 3:8)
Versus
JESUS IS LOVE:
"You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' "But I say to you, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES & PRAY FOR THEM WHO PERSECUTE YOU, SO THAT YOU MAY BE SONS OF YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." (Matthew 5:43-45)
JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD:
"This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.”
"But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me.”
"Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many"; and, "For false Messiahs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect". (Matthew 24:11, 24)
