WASHINGTON D.C. – “Bring back Bush,” said one young lady; “Capitalism = Freedom,” announced a young man’s T-shirt, at the Nov. 5 rally here on the west Capitol lawn, covered by AMERICAN FREE PRESS.

The young lady’s remark was the illogical conclusion of the “logic” behind this and other recent “tea parties,” which are growing in number with larger crowds but diminishing in meaning, since they overlook the real source of our troubles in the central banking realm. The young lady meant that Obama, a socialist-liberal Democrat, is the problem, so all America has to do is re-install a “conservative” Republican in the White House and all will be well.

This assumption that Republicans are automatically “conservative” is accompanied at these rallies by the notion that if only liberal socialism can be stopped, then “capitalism” will bless the nation with fat wallets, low prices and freedom.

The T-Shirt’s message carries this matter to the 13th floor in a 12-story building – outside the realm of reality. Capitalism cannot equal freedom because the type of monopoly capitalism we are forced to live under is about forced markets, not market forces. It’s forcibly but “legally” robbing the people of hundreds of billions of dollars to prop up select Wall Street firms whose campaign contributions keep the spigots open. It’s about denying average Americans credit and currency, even as these huge firms receive billions and give themselves monster bonuses while average people lose their homes and savings.

It’s actually economic fascism, a marriage of big business and big government, therefore the capitalism-versus-socialism theme at these tea parties makes little sense. The U.S. government gave away its financial sovereignty to the privately-owned and controlled central bank, the Federal Reserve System, in 1913 and it’s been downhill ever since. Our government has to turn to the central bank to get even one dollar, and it only comes when the government prints a bond showing evidence of the public’s debt to the private bankers. The Fed accepts U.S. bonds before “our” government can obtain any money with which to operate. The debt attached to the exchange ticks away ever higher into the trillions.
