Well, Fort Benning must think George Washington , Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, etc. are all terrorists because they sure as hell didn't register their guns with the government.
Well and people wonder why they would stage shootings on campuses and now on a military base - people will foolishly clamor for gun control
There is a large minority who would surrender all rights for so called 'safety'
Nazi's, Soviets, North Korea, Khmer Rouge - US Calvary - (versus Native Americans)
Note - it has happened in the USA before - - it can happen again
- 20 years after "Thanksgiving " the Puritan settlers at Plymouth disarmed the local Massachue indians before they massacred them and beheaded their leader known as King Philip, the educated English speaking son of the leader who first welcomed the poor new settlers - they left his head on a pike for 15 years in the town square .. so much for thanks for "Thanksgiving " ;
- and the Cherokee and the other Five Civilized Tribes as they were called, were all disarmed before the infamous but often US forgotten "trail of tears"..which murdered thousands of defenseless women and children and
- all the Japanese interned were disarmed before being put into camps and while losing their homes and property
and it was in New Orleans after Katrina and in Kansas after the F4 tornado that the so called authorities used gun registration lists to- go house to house and seize legal weapons from US citizens ....in the name of 'safety'
- and it was often illegal across the south and lower Midwest for blacks to own guns even after the civil war
