Climategate: this is our Berlin Wall moment!

I’ve just had a great, very sympathetic interview about Climategate on LBC radio (London’s main commercial news and talk station) with Petrie Hosken. She told me she has been simply inundated with callers, all of them utterly unconvinced that human influence has made any significant on so-called “Global Warming”. She was desperate to get a few balancing calls from people who do believe in AGW but just couldn’t find any.

Can you imagine this happening a year ago? Or even a month ago? Until Climategate, we “Sceptics” were considered freaks – almost as bad as Holocaust deniers – beyond the pale of reasonable balanced discussion. Suddenly we’re the norm. Climategate has finally given us the chance to express openly what many of us secretly felt all along:

AGW is about raising taxes; increasing state control; about a few canny hucksters who’ve leapt on the bandwagon fleecing us rotten with their taxpayer subsidised windfarms and their carbon-trading; about the sour, anti-capitalist impulses of sandal-wearing vegans and lapsed Communists who loathe the idea of freedom and a functioning market economy.

We know it’s all a crock and we’re not going to take it.

This is our Berlin Wall moment! They can’t stop us now!

West fears fire sale of Dubai assets that will spread across world

When an Arabian consortium bought the Peninsular & Oriental (P&O) ports company three years ago, American politicians went into uproar over the perceived terrorist threat. It emerged this week, however, that the bombshell the world should have been worried about was the debt that the group was taking on to fund its growth.

The Government of Dubai said on Wednesday that it was seeking a standstill on debt repayments for Dubai World, the vast conglomerate that bought P&O (minus the American ports) for £3.9 billion in 2006.

Dubai World has liabilities of $60 billion (£36 billion) and the standstill announcement, made just before most of the Arab world stopped work for the Eid religious festival, has stunned stock and credit markets.

The standstill raises the possibility that Dubai World could default on its debt. The fear in Western markets is that banks risk losing billions, causing more paralysis in the lending markets.

Did Barack Obama lie about his birth to become President?

As a highly regarded young detective, Neil Sankey was once seconded to elite Scotland Yard units hunting down IRA bombers, dangerous anarchists and organised crime barons.

Today, however, almost 30 years after quitting Hampshire constabulary to become a private investigator in California, he is wrestling with an inquiry that is as controversial as it is complex; one that makes that his former police work seem mundane by comparison.

Now aged 64, and semi-retired, Mr Sankey is attempting to prove that Barack Obama is guilty of the most audacious act of fraud in U.S political history, having become President when he was not even eligible to run for office.

He is conducting his inquiries on behalf of a protest group known as the 'Birthers' - so-called because they claim Obama lied about his birth place to satisfy the requirements of the U.S constitution, which stipulates that the President must be a 'natural born' American citizen.

According to his biography, Obama was born 48 years ago in Hawaii, the 50th state of the union. But the Birthers are convinced that he came into the world in Kenya, his father's homeland, and Mr Sankey claims he has already uncovered a great deal of evidence to support this astonishing assertion.

'As an investigator it has become obvious to me that something very strange is going on,' he intoned gravely when we spoke this week.

'His background throws up all kinds of anomalies. It may sound incredible (but) this guy comes from nowhere. No one really knows who he is.'

To most Americans, of course, the very idea that anyone could cheat their way into the world's most powerful post by rewriting their personal history sounds preposterous.

They dismiss the Birthers as a bunch of crackpot conspiracy theorists and closet racists who still cannot accept a black leader, even though Obama won the election by some 10 million votes.

Yet the number of people who believe this apparently outlandish theory is extraordinarily high, particularly in the southern states, where old racial divisions endure.

According to one recent opinion poll, an astonishing 53 per cent of southerners are either convinced their President really is a covert foreigner, or at least feel unsure about the matter. In more integrated parts of the country, the doubters remain a small minority.

However, with the tide of goodwill that greeted Obama's victory now ebbing away, after a series of perceived mistakes and unfulfilled promises, the Birthers are gaining credence in mainstream America.

They claim to have amassed 500,000 signatures on a petition insisting that the President must prove beyond doubt where he was born; and all across the country, giant billboards are sprouting up which make the same shrill demand.

Mounted this week outside a car dealership in Denver, Colorado, the latest such sign depicted Obama wearing a turban.

'Birth certificate - Prove It!' read the accompanying slogan, adding: 'President or Jihad?'

'Everything I've read about Mr Obama points right to the fact that he's a Muslim,' explained the car showroom's owner, Phil Wolf.

'It's about anti-Americanism. It's about anti-Christianity.'

Questions about Obama's birthplace were first raised during the 2008 presidential election campaign.

Then, even hard-line Republicans and Right-wing pundits distanced themselves from this line of attack, fearing they would be accused of bigotry or cheap scaremongering.

Now that is changing, and one of the country's most respected political commentators, Lou Dobbs, not only encourages debate about this once-taboo subject on his TV and radio shows, but appears to have aligned himself with the sceptics.

'I believe Barack Obama is a citizen of the United States, folks, don't you? But I do have a couple of little questions, like you,' Dobbs remarked with ill-disguised mischief during one recent broadcast.

'Why not just provide a copy of the birth certificate? That's entirely within the President's power to do so. One would think the President would want to get rid of this nonsense. But he doesn't - and so, none of us knows what the reality is.'

- The government knows the public is uninformed and is hoping to get as much people in fear as possible. When people are in fear they give their power and intellect away. This fear arises due to lack of information. If we had an informed public then not one single person would take this vaccine knowing that it is highly dangerous. The public is in a trance by the media who tells them to get the vaccine at the command of the pharmaceutical companies and Big Brother government who CONTROLS and OWNS the mass media in the first place. Their job is to do the bidding of these pharma companies and government agencies - to be their talking puppets brainwashing the masses on how to perceive reality and what to think.
- Baxter, which is a vaccine manufacturer, was caught earlier this year putting live bird flu in their vaccines in Austria. This obviously did not make headline news as they do not want you to be informed of what took place. However, if you do your own research you can find the information. It is out there. If they infected their vaccines with live bird flu what makes you think they wont do it with these vaccines?
- The government and vaccine makers will be immune from any lawsuit that occurs from the deaths and injuries caused by vaccines. How very coincidental that they are protected from what they know will kill and injure many around the world.
- The governments and elite have time after time told us they want to depopulate the world - what better way then to infect us through vaccines or sterilize us through it. It has been done in the past and history always repeats itself. If your under the impression that the government loves you and has your best interest at heart - then your just a brain dead slave and you deserve what you get when you take this vaccine.
- The governments also hyped up the 1976 swine flu just as they are doing now and many took the vaccine and become ill, paralyzed and 25 people actually died from the vaccine itself. More deaths occurred because of the vaccine than the number of people that actually died from the swine flu itself.
- The government has manipulated the masses into believing that only vaccines can prevent or cure the flu or illnesses, but in actuality - they cause and create them. Vaccines are MAN-MADE and the makers have an interest in making money off the vaccines. Moreover, when they get you sick through their vaccines - you end up giving them more money because you will end up buying more drugs and products from pharmaceutical companies to battle the illness and side effects you have gotten from taking vaccines. Marc Faber Sees War Against an Invented Enemy and a Big Financial Bust

Inquiring minds are reading In his gloomiest prediction yet, Marc Faber sees big financial bust leading to war.

Marc Faber, the Swiss fund manager and Gloom Boom & Doom editor, said eventually there will be a big bust and then the whole credit expansion will come to an end. Before that happens, governments will continue printing money which in time will lead to a very high inflation rate, and the economy will not respond to continued stimulus.

Speaking at a conference in Singapore on Wednesday, Faber said: "The crisis has not solved anything. On the contrary there is less transparency today than there was before. The government's balance sheet is expanding, and the abuses that have led to the one cause of the crisis have continued".

"I think eventually there will be a big bust and then the whole credit expansion will come to an end," Faber added.

"Before that happens, governments will continue printing money which in time will lead to a very high inflation rate, and the economy will not respond to stimulus".

In one of his Gloomiest predictions, Faber, referred to as Dr Doom, said "the average family will be hurt by that, and then in order to distract the attention of the people, the governments will go to war".

"People ask me against whom? Well, they will invent an enemy," Faber said.

"At some stage, somewhere in future, we will have a war - that you have to be prepared for. And during war times, commodities go up strongly,” said Faber.

"If you want to hedge against war, you don't want to own derivatives in UBS and AIG, but you have to own them physically, like farmland and agricultural commodities. That is something to consider for you as a personal safety and hedge. You have to own some commodities," he added.

Obama book ghostwritten by terrorist Bill Ayers?

The founder of Times Books -- publisher of President Barack Obama's autobiography Dreams From My Father -- Thomas Lipscomb recently dropped a huge bomb on the Obama White House. Now a senior fellow at the well-regarded Annenberg Center, Lipscomb contends that Obama's story was actually ghostwritten by former terrorist and cop-killer William Ayers.

During the presidential campaign if asked how close he was with the former bomb-maker for Weathermen, Obama would claim that Bill Ayers was merely "a guy who lives in my neighborhood," and "not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis."

But according to Lipscomb's Accuracy in Media report: "Obama had to give up on a $150,000 Simon & Schuster contract because he couldn't complete the manuscript, his sources were telling him Obama finally had to bring in a ghostwriter to put together his highly praised Dreams From My Father for Times Books. He had a million pieces of tape, pictures, memos, notes, and no manuscript."

Unfortunately for Obama, he was caught at a July 10, 2008, meeting in Fairfax, Virginia proudly saying the following: "I've written two books. I actually wrote them myself."

While bloggers have posted stories alleging Obama's book is a ghostwritten product, a noted journalist and best selling author of 33 books Christopher Andersen published a fascinating new book, Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage, a fawning diatribe about America's First Family, that alleges matter-of-factly that not only is Obama's book ghostwritten, but it was ghostwritten by the former terrorist Bill Ayers.

Andersen states in his book: "Everyone knew [Obama and Ayers] were friends and that they worked on various projects together. It was no secret. Why would it be? People liked them both."

"In the end, Ayers' contribution to Barack's Dreams From My Father would be significant -- so much so that the book's language, oddly specific references, literary devices, and themes would bear a jarring similarity to Ayers' own writing," according to Andersen's book.

The Accuracy in Media report and Anderson contend that these oral histories, along with a partial manuscript and a truckload of notes, were given to Ayers.

"Even the caveat at the beginning of Dreams, in which Barack points out that he uses invented dialogue, embellished facts, composite characters, inaccurate chronology, and pseudonyms to create an "approximation" of reality, resembles Ayers' defense of the inaccuracies in his own memoir Fugitive Days," wrote Lipscomb.

"In the foreword to his book, Ayers states that the book is merely a collection of his personal memories and "impressions." ... Thanks to help from the veteran writer Ayers, Barack would be able to submit a manuscript to his editors at Times Books," claims the AIM report.

"At the very least, Ayers should have been identified as a co-author. But that would have brought too much attention to their relationship. The truth must be made known," said Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media.

Who is “al Qaida,” that we must continue killing and destroying entire nations to eliminate them?

The world has too much riding on this war to abide Obama blindly continuing it without a valid mission. Defining an “exit plan” is not the same thing as defining the mission. He cannot be allowed to simply launch yet another escalation without a clear mission, while shrugging-off questions about “al Qaida.” The world must know who the enemy is, before the cycle of destruction is amplified in another blind rage without a reason.

“Al Qaida,” the base, in Arabic, is not the great threatening beast that has been used to frighten the little children. “Al Q” is a group of a few hundred Arab terrorists, gathered together by America and Saudi Arabia in a network that was overseen by Osama bin Laden in Peshawar, Pakistan. The CIA network recruited anti-Soviet fighters from all over the world, to serve agency interests. They were never under bin Laden’s command. American propagandists have created the illusion of a terrorist army of thousands of fighters, by lumping together bin Laden’s small group with the massive intelligence network that brought them all to Afghanistan, under the single rubric of “al Qaida.”

The original Arab-Afghan fighters loyal to bin Laden have all but been eliminated from the region, with the last remaining holdouts scattered throughout the region. If there is no “al Qaida” in Afghanistan, then who or what are we after, other than the Taliban? The network itself? Are we completing the destruction of Afghanistan and Pakistan in order to eliminate our own network? If we fight against our own network, then why is an escalation needed? Wouldn’t it be far easier and cheaper to simply defund it, turn off the switch in Langley, Virginia, to the terrorist production line?

Or is the switch to the terrorist production line really in the Pentagon? Since the military is the only beneficiary of another escalation in Afghanistan, it is logical to assume that they are behind the whole endeavor. The war is not about Afghanistan or Pakistan, but about maintaining another huge military presence there. Pakistan is the jumping-off point to all the planned missions for Central Asia and securing the pipeline routes anticipated for the region.

See the following admission from a military operative in the know, as obtained by author Jeremy Scahill: “The military intelligence source said that the Blackwater/JSOC Karachi operation is referred to as ‘Qatar cubed,’ in reference to the US forward operating base in Qatar that served as the hub for the planning and implementation of the US invasion of Iraq. ‘This is supposed to be the brave new world,’ he says. ‘This is the Jamestown of the new millennium and it’s meant to be a lily pad. You can jump off to Uzbekistan, you can jump back over the border, you can jump sideways, you can jump northwest. It’s strategically located so that they can get their people wherever they have to without having to wrangle with the military chain of command in Afghanistan, which is convoluted. They don’t have to deal with that because they’re operating under a classified mandate.’”

The world is in flames because Bush and Cheney chose to light it all up. Nineteen men with razor blades attacked us and they decided that waging war upon the entire world was the best way to pay them back and imitate justice. Obama is carrying the whole sick operation forward, because he is a coward — he is deathly afraid of the prospects of challenging the powerful Zionist war lobby that made him what he is today.

Scientist Repeats Swine Flu Lab-Escape Claim in Published Study

Adrian Gibbs, the virologist who said in May that swine flu may have escaped from a laboratory, published his findings today, renewing discussion about the origins of the pandemic virus.

The new H1N1 strain, which was discovered in Mexico and the U.S. in April, may be the product of three strains from three continents that swapped genes in a lab or a vaccine-making plant, Gibbs, and fellow Australian scientists wrote in Virology Journal. The authors analyzed the genetic makeup of the virus and found its origin could be more simply explained by human involvement than a coincidence of nature.

Their study, published in a free, online journal reviewed by other scientists, follows debate among researchers six months ago, when Gibbs asked the World Health Organization to consider the hypothesis. After reviewing Gibbs’ initial three-page paper, WHO and other organizations concluded the pandemic strain was a naturally occurring virus and not laboratory-derived.

“It is important that the source of the new virus be found if we wish to avoid future pandemics rather than just trying to minimize the consequences after they have emerged,” Gibbs and colleagues John Armstrong and Jean Downie said in today’s eight- page study.

Taking Over The World

The majority of people on the earth want peace and well being for the entirety of mankind. There seems to be a constant problem though; human beings. Yet, despite past dismal results, world nations continue to make efforts to unite on major issues in order to find common ground and make binding international treaties. The leaders of Iran and Brazil met this week with visions of working-over the international order, and the upcoming meeting at Copenhagen will be another attempt at seeing eye-to-eye on reducing greenhouse emissions. Yet, while recent efforts at global governance have proved weak and unproductive, their very failures may one day turn out to be the impetus for an all-out push for true global "unity".

The representatives of 192 nations will meet in Copenhagen December 7-18 for the United Nations Climate Change Conference. This is the follow-up to the 1997 meeting in Kyoto, Japan that attempted to deal with global climate change. The US Senate never ratified the Kyoto Protocol, which is set to expire in 2012.

Things do not look so good for the globalists and environmentalists' cause. While the nations of the world may give lip service to lowering carbon dioxide emissions, environmentally friendly technologies are expensive to implement. Getting industrial nations to agree to lower their emissions by 25-40 percent by 2020 (as UN scientists have recommended) during a robust economy would be hard enough, let alone during the current time of belt-tightening. When "green" technologies raise the costs of food and fuel, many countries are going to be hesitant to sign on. Both US President Obama and China's President Hu have pushed for a two-step plan, which means agreeing to emissions reductions this December, but not actually signing anything legal until next year.

Copenhagen also promises to instigate a significant bit of wealth redistribution; sending billions of dollars and machinery from the "have" countries to the "have not" countries in order to help them reach goals of reducing greenhouse emissions.

The US Senate is considering passing a bill to drop emissions 17 percent by 2020. The 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said in 2007 that the Earth had warmed 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit since 1906, and environmental groups argue that the globe will continue to warm 7.2 degrees more by 2100 with catastrophic results.

These predictions would be more frightening if there was a consensus about global climate change and if there had actually been any additional global warming the past few years. But.... temperatures appear to be "hanging," and are not as high as in 2005, in fact. Aside from that, a hacker apparently got into emails from scientists at the Climatic Research Unit which, according to The Times, indicate the following:

"(a) the scientists have been manipulating the raw temperature figures to show a relentlessly rising global warming trend;
(b) they have consistently refused outsiders access to the raw data;
(c) the scientists have been trying to avoid freedom of information requests; and
(d) they have been discussing ways to prevent papers by dissenting scientists being published in learned journals."

British PM Gordon Brown declared last week that Copenhagen must "forge a new international agreement ... which must contain the full range of commitments required: on emissions reductions by both developed and developing countries, on finance and on verification."

Despite Gordon Brown, this next step toward global governance will likely end in failure enveloped in flowery sounding words.

Iran and Brazil
Globalists will not give up, though, and certain world governments don't want them to. Some, like Brazil and Iran, just want to have a significantly bigger cut of the power pie.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Monday, the first visit to Brazil by an Iranian president. Lula welcomed Ahmadinejad with open arms, and Ahmadinejad returned the sentiment by saying the two countries enjoyed "brotherly relations." Brazil has irked many in the West by giving vocal support to Iran's nuclear program.

During the visit, the two leaders discussed international relations and agreed that the world's order of leadership needed revising. They said the UN was doing a poor job of fixing both political and economic world problems [we don't disagree] and expressed their desire for a new order of things, an order in which all the countries of the world worked together toward eliminating problems.

In other words, they wanted countries like Brazil and Iran to have a greater say in things. In their version of the new world order, the structure of the UN Security Council would look a bit different. Brazil would have a permanent seat, for instance. With veto power.

Ahmadinejad said:

"Iran and Brazil, due to their rich cultural and humane backgrounds, and their share viewpoints on international relations, can play active roles in both designing and implementing a justice seeking world order. The current world order is incapable of solving the global crises and the governments should cooperate in order to eliminate the major problems existing in it."

Despite their inefficiency of working together, the governments of the world will come together one day. According to 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, a world leader will arise who will come across as the greatest thing since apple butter. He will exalt himself above all gods and will call himself God. What's more, everybody on earth will worship him (Rev 13:8), everybody not written in the Book of Life. He won't look evil to the common eye; he won't wear red tights and carry a pitchfork. He'll appear as a great and powerful leader and orator (Rev 13:4,5).

In the meanwhile, we're not to live in fear. We are to trust God, keep working, and keep seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matt 6:33, Luke 12:31, 32). The true King of the Universe wins in the end, and under Him we'll truly find peace.

The Fed Doesn’t Want Banks to Increase Lending

Tim Duy – Director of Undergraduate Studies of the Department of Economics at the University of Oregon and the Director of the Oregon Economic Forum – noticed an amazing sentence in the minutes of the most recent meeting of the Fed Open Market Committee:

As has already been widely noted, the minutes of the most recent FOMC meeting reiterated the Fed’s eagerness to reverse, not extend, policy:

Overall, many participants viewed the risks to their inflation outlooks over the next few quarters as being roughly balanced. Some saw the risks as tilted to the downside in the near term, reflecting the quite elevated level of economic slack and the possibility that inflation expectations could begin to decline in response to the low level of actual inflation. But others felt that risks were tilted to the upside over a longer horizon, because of the possibility that inflation expectations could rise as a result of the public’s concerns about extraordinary monetary policy stimulus and large federal budget deficits. Moreover, these participants noted that banks might seek to reduce appreciably their excess reserves as the economy improves by purchasing securities or by easing credit standards and expanding their lending substantially. Such a development, if not offset by Federal Reserve actions, could give additional impetus to spending and, potentially, to actual and expected inflation. To keep inflation expectations anchored, all participants agreed that it was important for policy to be responsive to changes in the economic outlook and for the Federal Reserve to continue to clearly communicate its ability and intent to begin withdrawing monetary policy accommodation at the appropriate time and pace.

Read that carefully and realize this: An apparently not insignificant portion of the FOMC believes that there is a terrible risk that banks loosen their credit standards and increase lending at a time when, even if the economy posts expected gain, unemployment remains at unacceptably high levels. Silly me, I thought increased lending was the whole point of the exercise to lower interest and expand the balance sheet. That whole credit channel thing. If not to expand lending during a credit crunch, then what else are they expecting?

I am in shock that this sentence made it into the minutes. One can only conclude that a significant portion of policymakers are simply clueless. Or, more disconcerting, they have lost all faith in the ability of financial institutions to channel capital into activities with any hope of financial returns. Has the Fed now embraced the view that they manage the economy through little else then fueling and extinguishing bubbles?

Yves Smith has the definitive last word on the issue:

These statement is an indication of intellectual bankruptcy at the Fed, that they have learned nothing from the crisis. But that isn’t surprising. CEOs usually need to be fired after they have presided over a disaster. They are incapable of seeing and remedying their errors. Why should senior bureaucrats be any different?

Everyone Knew that Iraq Didn’t Have WMDs

Everyone knew the WMD claims were fake.

For example, Tony Blair – the British Prime Minister – knew that Saddam possessed no WMDs. If America’s closest ally Britain knew, then the White House knew as well.

And the number 2 Democrat in the Senate -who was on the Senate intelligence committee – admitted that the Senate intelligence committee knew before the war started that Bush’s public statements about Iraqi WMDs were false. If the committee knew, then the White House knew as well.

But we don’t even have to use logic to be able to conclude that the White House knew.

Specifically, the former highest-ranking CIA officer in Europe says that Bush, Cheney and Rice were personally informed that Iraq had no WMDs in Fall 2002 (and see this).

Former Treasury Secretary O’Neil – who was a member of the National Security Council – said:

In the 23 months I was there, I never saw anything that I would characterize as evidence of weapons of mass destruction.

The CIA warned the White House that claims about Iraq’s nuclear ambitions (using forged documents) were false, and yet the White House made those claims anyway.

Indeed, a former high-level CIA analyst (who chaired National Intelligence Estimates and personally delivered intelligence briefings to Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, their Vice Presidents, Secretaries of State, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and many other senior government officials) says that falsified documents which were meant to show that Iraq’s Saddam Hussein regime had been trying to procure yellowcake uranium from Niger can be traced back to Dick Cheney, and that:

CIA Director George Tenet told his “coterie of malleable managers” at the CIA to create a National Intelligence Estimate “to the terms of reference of Dick Cheney’s speech of August 26, 2002, where Dick Cheney said for the first time Saddam Hussein could have a nuclear weapon in a year, he’s got all kinds of chemical, he’s got all kinds of biological weapons.”

Pulitzer prize-winning journalist Ron Suskind says:

Bush administration had information from a top Iraqi intelligence official “that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq – intelligence they received in plenty of time to stop an invasion.”

The Washington Post reports that a secret, fact-finding team of scientists and engineers sponsored by the Pentagon determined in May 2003 that two small trailers captured by U.S. and Kurdish troops were not evidence of an Iraqi biological weapons program. The nine-member team “transmitted their unanimous findings to Washington in a field report on May 27, 2003.” Despite having authoritative evidence that the biological laboratories claim was false, the administration continued to repeat the myth over the next four months.

A British official said that “the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy”. In January 2004, The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace report on WMDS in Iraq concluded that the evidence prior to the war indicated that Iraq’s nuclear program had been dismantled and its chemical weapons had lost most of their lethality. In addition, the report concluded that the administration “systematically misrepresented the threat from Iraq’s WMD and ballistic missile programs”.

Fool Me Once …

In addition, it is a well-understood principle that if someone has been caught in a lie, we are less likely to believe him. For example, a witness who is caught in a lie during trial is unlikely to be believed by the jury when he makes another statement.

Well, Cheney and other high-level White House officials repeatedly implied that Saddam and Iraq had ties to Al Qaeda and 9/11, when they knew that wasn’t true.

Indeed, Pulitzer prize-winning journalist Ron Suskind reports that the White House ordered the CIA to forge and backdate a document falsely linking Iraq with Muslim terrorists and 9/11 … and that the CIA complied with those instructions and in fact created the forgery, which was then used to justify war against Iraq. And see this.

The government also spied on American citizens (even before 9/11 … confirmed here and here), while saying “we don’t spy”.

And the government tortured prisoners in Iraq, but said “we don’t torture”.

In other words, high-level officials in the administration were caught in repeated untruths, and so their statements about believing good faith that Iraq had WMDs is less believable.

What Really Happened?

But if the White House knew that Iraq didn’t have any WMDs, why did we go to war in Iraq?

Well, several very high-profile figures have said it was for the oil. See this, this and this.

Perhaps Tom Brokaw says it most simply:

All wars on based on propaganda.

If you still believe that the government invaded Iraq due to WMDs or links to terrorists, this is why.

Climategate: five Aussie MPs lead the way by resigning in disgust over carbon tax

Australia is leading the revolt against Al Gore’s great big AGW conspiracy – just as the Aussie geologist and AGW sceptic Professor Ian Plimer predicted it would.

ABC news reports that five frontbenchers from Australia’s opposition Liberal party have resigned their portfolios rather than follow their leader Malcolm Turnbull in voting with Kevin Rudd’s Government on a new Emissions Trading Scheme.

The Liberal Party is in turmoil with the resignations of five frontbenchers from their portfolios this afternoon in protest against the emissions trading scheme.

Tony Abbott, Sophie Mirabella, Tony Smith and Senators Nick Minchin and Eric Abetz have all quit their portfolios because they cannot vote for the legislation.

Senate whip Stephen Parry has also relinquished his position.

The ETS is Australia’s version of America’s proposed Cap and Trade and the EU’s various carbon reduction schemes: a way of taxing business on its CO2 output. As Professor Plimer pointed out when I interviewed him in the summer, this threatens to cause enormous economic damage in Australia’s industrial and mining heartlands, not least because both are massively dependent on Australia’s vast reserves of coal. It is correspondingly extremely unpopular with Aussie’s outside the pinko, libtard metropolitan fleshpots.

UK Scientist: ‘Case for climate fears is blown to smithereens…whole theory should be destroyed and discarded and UN conference should be closed’

UK astrophysicist Piers Corbyn, of the long range solar forecast group Weather Action, declared that the ClimateGate revelations have rendered man-made global warming fears “false.”

“The case is blown to smithereens and this whole theory should be destroyed and discarded and Copenhagen conference should be closed,” Corbyn said in a contentious on air television exchange with an environmental activist with Russia’s WWF. The live TV debate with Corbyn appeared on Moscow’s RT TV on November 25, 2009. The RT TV’s segment was titled “Heating Cheating.” See Full Video of Debate here.

“The world is cooling and has been cooling for 7 years and the leading scientists, so-called ’scientists’ have been trying to hide that evidence,” Corbyn said in reference to hacked emails showing top UN IPCC scientists apparently conspiring to manipulate temperature data and exclude scientific studies from peer-review that they did not agree with.

“We should end this anti-scientific nonsense now,” Corbyn said.

“The data, real data, over the last one thousand, ten thousand or million years, shows there is no relationship between carbon dioxide and world temperatures or climate extremes. Now we can see that actually the people in charge of data have been fiddling it, and they have been hiding the real decline in world temperatures in an attempt to keep their so called moral high ground,” Corbyn told host Bill Dod and Aleksey Kokorin, the Climate Program Coordinator for WWF in Russia.

The upcoming UN global warming summit in Copenhagen is a “complete waste of time,” according to Corbyn.

‘A scandal’

“The Copenhagen jamboree is a scandal and it must be stopped,” he added.

“There is a gigantic bandwagon run by governments who want to control world energy supplies and hold back development in the third world. This thing they are doing now is just the same as they are doing in the banking crisis, it is creating a whole bubble of false values,” Corbyn explained.

Corbyn said the ClimateGate revelations further revealed that man-made climate fears are not scientifically valid.

“Their claims are false, I repeat, they are false, and this theory they’ve got is like the titanic and it will crash. I would suggest that honest green campaigners who want to preserve biodiversity should get off this [man-made global warming] bandwagon before it sinks,” Corbyn explained.

“Carbon dioxide levels are driven by temps, not the other way around. There have been big peaks in CO2 in past…carbon dioxide is actually a good thing for the world,” Corbyn explained. “More CO2 makes plants and animals more efficient,” he added.

In accepting his appointment to be the first permanent president of the European Council in the European Union, Herman Van Rompuy affirmed his belief that the new world order would be dominated by international organizations that would seek to destroy the last vestiges of nation-states on the face of the globe, Jerome Corsi's Red Alert reports.

In the following speech captured by BBC and posted on YouTube, Van Rompuy proclaimed, "2009 is the first year of global governance with the establishment of the G20 in the middle of the financial crisis."

He continued, "The climate conference in Copenhagen is another step toward the global management of our planet."

In the following widely viewed YouTube video, Mario Borghezio, a member of Italy's Lega Nord who is also a member of the European Parliament, pointed out in a speech to the European Parliament that Van Rompuy is a frequent attendee at Bilderberg Group and Trilateral Commission meetings.

Borghezio asked how it is possible that no one has mentioned Van Rompuy is a candidate of these "occult groups" who "meet behind closed doors to decide matters over the heads of the people."

Van Rompuy is known in Europe for his proposals that in the EU national symbols need to be replaced by European symbols, such that the national flags of the EU member nations would disappear in favor of the EU flag, and the same would happen with license plates, identity cards and even sporting events, as reported by the Telegraph in Great Britain.

"Even the selection of the largely unknown Van Rompuy to be the first EU Council president and the selection of the equally unknown Lady Catherine Ashton, an EU trade commissioner, to be EU foreign policy head, smacked of back-room deals made by global elitists seeking to fill the new posts created by the Lisbon Treaty with EU global elitists like themselves," Corsi wrote.

He said neither Van Rompuy nor Ashton was elected, noting that Lady Ashton has never held an elected position in her life.

Contemplating the appointment of Van Rompuy and Lady Ashton, Corsi said he is reminded of Jean Monnet, a key architect of the European Union.

In his "Memoirs," Monnet recalled that in his Luxembourg office he kept on his desk a photograph of the Kon-Tiki, the raft Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl used in his 1947 expedition from South America to the Polynesian islands across the Pacific.

When asked about the photograph, Monnet explained that he admired the young men who sailed the Kon-Tiki because once they chose a course, they knew they could not turn back.

"We too are headed for our objective, the United States of Europe," Monnet openly proclaimed, "and for us too there is no turning back."

Corsi wrote, "Following Van Rompuy's comments, there should be no doubt that the globalists have no intention of stopping or slowing down, as even the EU itself is simply one small step of regionalism on the new world order journey of international government in which nation-states themselves become bygone entities of a once-treasured past."
