Michele Bachmann chair defects to Ron Paul

In a shock announcement Wednesday night, Iowa state senator and onetime Michele Bachmann campaign leader Kent Sorenson declared that he is now supporting Ron Paul for president.

Sorenson made the announcement at a Paul rally with veterans here in Des Moines, telling the crowd: "I believe we're at a turning point in this campaign."

Calling the decision to abandon Bachmann a painful one, Sorenson said he felt obligated to join Paul as the "Republican establishment" tries to undermine his campaign.

"I thought it was my duty to come to his aid, just like he came to my aid during my Senate race, which was a very nasty race," Sorenson said, pledging to go all-out for Paul over the next few days.

To cheers from the crowd, he continued: "We're going to take Ron Paul all the way to the White House."

2012: World On the Brink

NDAA: The National Defense Authorization Act signals that the global elite are now ready to not only round-up and imprison Americans in internment camps - camps long planned and recently activated by FEMA - but are also ready to assassinate opponents and attack targets in a widespread cyber war against domestic enemies of the state. This is a new and frightening trend that will play out in the year ahead, especially if war is launched against Iran. Government invariably demands fealty and subservience as it rolls out its predictable us-versus-them narrative under the guise of patriotism during its engineered wars.

Police State: As noted last week, the TSA has officially announced it will move its hands-down-your-pants operation from the nation's airports to bus stations, mass transit hubs and beyond . DHS boss Napolitano has said the DHS plans to be entrench its Gestapo apparatus at the local mall . By Christmas of 2012, the TSA and its heavily armed VIPR good squads may be forcing citizens through deadly porno scanners at the mall. Expanding roadside checkpoints - collaborative efforts between local cops, the feds, and the military - with deadly radiation scanners will also become normalized features of the American police state. 2012 may also be the year surveillance drones become a routine sight in the skies over many cities as militarized cops soak up DHS grant cash and further implement the global elite's police and high-tech panopticon authoritarian state control grid.

RECALL: Montanans Organize to Remove Senators Who Voted For Traitorous Detainment Bill

Americans were outraged after our elected representatives in Congress moved forward with over a trillion dollars in emergency bailout funds for banks, investment firms and failing corporations in the midst of the 2008 financial crisis. After tens of thousands of phone calls to the Congressional switchboard, overwhelmingly against the bailout funds, the American public was largely ignored by the majority of their elected representatives, who would eventually saddle taxpayers with a long-term debt in excess of $20 trillion.

In March of 2009, the American public resoundingly rejected the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obama Care) after it was made known that the bill would mandate, by force if necessary, that every citizen would be required to acquire health insurance. Not only did Congress and the President pass legislation that would, in a supposedly free country, require every American to forcefully pay for a service they may not want, but the more than 1000 page bill was written, introduced and approved before any Senator or Representative had a chance to read it, with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi famously saying:

“You have to pass the bill before you can find out what is in it…”

While those laws may be shamelessly contradictory to the fundamental Constitutional law of the land, and as outrageous as it was for Congressional representatives to ignore the American public’s calls to reject the bills, none of those come even remotely close to the most recent transgressions against the people with the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act.

As Americans enjoyed themselves with the holiday shopping season, Congress and the Executive branch worked tirelessly to destroy the 4th and 6th Amendments of the US Constitution, which protect an individual’s natural right “to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures” and ensure due process with evidence, witnesses, and public trial. The passage of the NDAA has prompted Senator Rand Paul to warn Americans that they could be considered terrorists for seemingly innocent activity and an an op-ed in the New York Times titled Guantanamo Forever? by U.S. Marine generals Charles Krulak and Joseph Hoar argued that the new legislation would essentially nullify aspects of the Constitution, saying “due process would be a thing of the past.”
One thing is clear with the passage of this legislation, and that is those Senators and Congressman who voted for its passage are violating their oaths to support and protect the Constitution of the United States, because everything in the bill is counter to the principles outlined in our founding document. As such, concerned citizens around the country are now actively pursuing grass roots efforts to utilize a never-before enacted power of the people: the recall.

Moving quickly on Christmas Day after the US Senate voted 86 – 14 to pass the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011 (NDAA) which allows for the indefinite military detention of American citizens without charge or trial, Montanans have announced the launch of recall campaigns against Senators Max Baucus and Jonathan Tester, who voted for the bill.
Montana is one of nine states with provisions that say that the right of recall extends to recalling members of its federal congressional delegation, pursuant to Montana Code 2-16-603, on the grounds of physical or mental lack of fitness, incompetence, violation of oath of office, official misconduct, or conviction of certain felony offenses.
Section 2 of Montana Code 2-16-603 reads:
“(2) A public officer holding an elective office may be recalled by the qualified electors entitled to vote for the elective officer’s successor.”

While the Montana Constitution (and those of other states) allows for a recall to take place, there is some question about whether these powers, which are technically undefined by the US Constitution, can be used to remove acting Congressional representatives:

The website Ballotpedia.org cites eight other states which allow for the recall of elected federal officials: Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, and Wisconsin. New Jersey’s federal recall law was struck down when a NJ state judge ruled that “the federal Constitution does not allow states the power to recall U.S. senators,” despite the fact the Constitution explicitly allows, by not disallowing (“prohibited” in the Tenth Amendment,) the states the power to recall US senators and congressmen:

“The powers not…prohibited…are reserved to the States…or to the people.” – Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

The issue of federal official recall has never reached the federal courts.

Nonetheless, we may soon find out, as Montana is spearheading the movement to remove both of their Senators from office, as per the petition draft that is now circulating:

“The Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees all U.S citizens:
“a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed…”
The National Defense Authorization Act of 2011 (NDAA 2011) permanently abolishes the Sixth Amendment right to a jury trial, “for the duration of hostilities” in the War on Terror, which was defined by President George W. Bush as “task which does not end” to a joint session of Congress on September 20, 2001.
Those who voted Aye on December 15th, 2011, Bill of Rights Day, for NDAA 2011 have attempted to grant powers which cannot be granted, which violate both the spirit and the letter of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
The Montana Recall Act stipulates that officials including US senators can only be recalled for physical or mental lack of fitness, incompetence, violation of the oath of office, official misconduct, or conviction of a felony offense. We the undersigned call for a recall election to be held for Senator Max S. Baucus [and Senator Jonathan Tester] and charge that he has violated his oath of office, to protect and defend the United States Constitution.”

While there may be eight other states whose Constitutions allow for the recall of federally elected officials, the US Constitution itself has reserved these rights for the people of each state, suggesting that such a recall movement can gain steam all over the country, and may be our last best hope of restoring Constitutional rule of law to America.

Cash is trash: Big American Brother gives hints on how to spot citizen terrorists

Do you own flashlights? Or pay with cash instead of a credit card? And do grocery shopping for the week? I do. You probably do – and guess what, according to the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, that could make both of us terrorists.

 

 

Recently, a Department of Homeland Security video has been making its way around the Internet; it tells people in no mixed terms that “paying cash is suspicious and weird.” In an assertive, yet calm voice, the narrator tells viewers that, “if a patron appears nervous or anxious, or insists on paying cash, contact security personnel. This IS suspicious behavior.”

So basically, if you’ve had a stressful day and don’t have a credit card, you're done for.

This suggestion, and many others, has been sent out to hotels across the United States as part of the DHS’ ongoing “See something, Say something” program. It even includes an 84-page manual, grandly titled, “Protective Measures Guide for the US Lodging Industry” – which points out that asking for privacy, among other things, is a red flag.

And that’s really what this boils down to: a war on privacy. A potential terrorist, argue the US security agencies, is much easier to track if he uses a credit card. Credit card use provides Big Brother instant access to the buyer's contact information, purchase history – and, if need be, the ability to cut off his financial supply in an instant.

But the implementation of this idea is a rather grim prospect: instead of using an existing system to aid their efforts, agencies like the DHS and the FBI are effectively taking away the freedom of choice guaranteed in a supposedly free country.

Don’t want to live on credit? Potential terrorist. Nervous? Potential terrorist. Don’t want to be disturbed? Potential terrorist.

And it gets worse. In an FBI pamphlet distributed to military surplus stores, people who “make bulk purchases of items including weatherproofed ammunition or match containers, meals ready to eat or night vision devices including flashlights” should be reported. Because all those things are “potential indicators of terrorist activities.”

Of course, people who, say, want to go camping, can make do without any of the aforementioned items. They can just take their credit cards, march right into the woods and make do that way. Or better yet, take the card, leave the woods and check into a hotel – smiling all the way, never locking the door and burning the “do not disturb” sign immediately upon arrival.

The helpful Bureau booklet also mentions “purchasing bipods or tripods for rifles” as dangerous. Not the rifles themselves – what’s a lethal weapon between friends, right? No, in a country where almost anyone anywhere can buy firearms, people only worry when you buy a tripod for it.

And the absurdity doesn’t end there. The agencies are going out of their way to instill fear into whoever they can, convincing them to report anything they deem suspicious. Of course, that includes sending a text message discreetly if you’re in public. An unsuspicious, law-abiding citizen would obviously have to read his private messages or broadcast his phone calls out loud to be considered above-board. If he's whispering into his handset, however, the DHS is relying on its “citizen spies” to pounce and denounce the poor guy.

Right-wing political tendencies can also land you in trouble. Vice President Joe Biden recently likened Tea Party supporters to terrorists. But go too far left – and you’re right back where youstarted, with the whole might of the American security system breathing down your neck. If you align yourself with the 99% of the Occupy movement, you’re not above suspicion either. Stories of undercover officers infiltrating various ‘Occupy’ camps across the country have been rife, CIA involvement has been hinted at – and the US’ biggest ally, the United Kingdom, has officially equated the protesters to terrorists.

Federal judge: Iran shares responsibility for 9/11 terror attacks

NEW YORK — In an historic hearing in the federal courthouse in Manhattan on Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge George Daniels said he planned to issue a ruling in the coming days declaring that Iran shares in the responsibility for the 9/11 terror attacks.

“The extensive record submitted to this court, including fact witnesses and expert testimony, is satisfactory to this court,” Judge Daniels said. The court “accepts as true” the various allegations of the plaintiffs and their experts, he declared, and “will issue an order” in the coming days that Iran bears legal responsibility for providing “material support” to the 9/11 plotters and hijackers.

Family members of 9/11 victims who attended the open-court hearing broke into tears. They had nervously sat through a four-hour presentation by attorneys Thomas E. Mellon, Jr., and Timothy B. Fleming, consisting of evidence backing up their claims that Iran had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks and actively assisted the hijackers in planning, preparing, and executing their plan.

Iowa GOP moving vote-count to 'undisclosed location'

Threats to disrupt the Iowa Republican caucuses next week have prompted state GOP officials to move the vote tabulation to an "undisclosed location," POLITICO has learned.

The state party has not yet told the campaigns exactly where the returns will be added up, only that it will be off-site from the Iowa GOP's Des Moines headquarters.  The 2008 caucus results were tabulated at the state party offices, which sit just a few blocks from the state capitol.

Activist groups including the Occupy movement have indicated that they'll attempt to interrupt rallies in the closing days before next Tuesday's caucuses.

The AP reported today that Occupy is making plans to even attend some caucuses and vote "no preference," but not disturb the voting process.

But Iowa Republicans are also bracing for other threats, sources say, including hacking.

Iowa GOP Chair Matt Strawn wouldn't comment on the plan to move the vote-counting except to say they're increasing security measures.

"The Iowa GOP is taking additional safeguards to ensure the Caucus results are tabulated and reported to the public in an accurate and timely manner," Strawn said. "We are not commenting on specific security procedures."

FREEDOM LOVING AMERICANS HEADED TO FEMA CAMPS

Unquestionably, Americans, who dare to speak out against the emerging military dictatorship within our country, will soon be taking up a new residence at your neighborhood FEMA camp. 

Through the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), CONgress, complete with their 9% public approval rating, has declared war upon the American people. 

Previously, I wrote an article in response to the intention of Congress to permit the military to indefinitely detain, without due process protections, American citizens for any reason, or for no reason whatsoever. In the previous article, I referenced the leaked memo from KBR manager, Bob Siefert, which was informing subcontractors to be prepared within 72 hours of notification to provide essential services to FEMA camps such as the installation of barbwire, blockades, personnel, food, water and sanitation services. Subsequently, one of my readers, Richard Firth, bravely took the initiative to write to Siefert and asked him to explain his stated intentions in the leaked memo. Below is the exchange between Wirth and Siefert along with my analysis.

Thank you for asking about the truth concerning our search for subcontractors. First, KBR is not a subsidiary of Halliburton, and hasn’t been since April of 2007. KBR intends to respond to an upcoming Request for Proposal. FEMA is looking for companies that can set up temporary camps to house First Responders to natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, floods, etc. The services included in the KBR request for information are ones we cannot provide ourselves and will need companies who can react quickly enough to meet the FEMA goal of having a place for their responders to stay within 72 hours of a call up. The camps will be temporary in nature, and nothing is being “activated”. FEMA is trying to be proactive in preparing for timely responses if emergency responses are required. I hope this answers your question.

To summarize, KBR’s Siefert asserts that (1) the camps are temporary; (2) the camps are only being constructed for first responders who will be used in anticipated future natural disasters; and (3) the existing FEMA camps are not being activated.

Often in life, there is the stated reason for performing some action and then there is the real reason. Below are some key provisions which are part of the impetus for activating the FEMA camps which are contained in the Siefert KBR memo. [Link] 

“The Continental US will be broken up into five regions as indicated in the map below Services” will be required in each State within each region.” (Author’s note) Interestingly, the South was also broken up into five military districts during the military occupation of the South during the Reconstruction Era following the Civil War.

“(Contractors will) Establish services listed below within 72 hours for initial set-up and respond within 24 hours for incremental services. This is a CONTINGENCY PROJECT and it should be stressed that lead times will be short with critical requirements due to the nature of emergency responses. Subcontractors must be flexible and able to handle multiple, shifting priorities in an emergency environment.”

Additionally, the Siefert memo disturbingly calls for the installation of fencing and wire used for large scale detention of prisoners. 

“Subcontractors will mobilize, transport, erect, install and demobilize temporary fencing, barricades, and associated equipment according to federal, state and local laws, codes and manufacturer installation instructions. The Subcontractor shall be able to mobilize and deploy key personnel(s) within four (4) hours of NTP to meet with KBR Site Manager at the Responder Support Camp (RSC) site in order to finalize the site design plan and acquire site specific design requirements and layout. Number of linear footage:

“Approximately 2,300LF for a 301 person camp after 36 hours of NTP”
“Approximately 3,600LF for 1,000 person camp after 72 hours of NTP”

This sounds like FEMA camp activation to me. 

When a reasonable person compares Siefert’s original memo to his response to Mr. Firth’s inquiry, the latter is clearly a poorly and hastily orchestrated version of damage control because his original leaked memo was never meant to see the light of day. The KBR memo called for barricades, barbwire, food, water, sanitation, guards, etc. This is the material that prisons are made of, not temporary housing for first responders as Seifert alleges. Hastily staffed FEMA camp personnel would also fit the definition of first responders in the advent of widespread civil insurrection. Google the term “FEMA camps,” look the photos, and ask yourself why first responders would be housed behind barbwire encampments where the wire is facing inward which is indicative of keeping people inside of an installation. Common sense dictates that first responders would not reside in prisons with armed guards and barbwire. Instead, they would be housed in tents as are forest fire fighters. It is clear that the FEMA camps are being activated and very soon they will be staffed by 100,000 new intern specialists currently being recruited by the Army [Link] and [Link]. 

It is an easy task to determine that KBR’s Bob Siefert and the truth are strangers on this issue. However, this Globalist-serving minion should not be the focal point of our attention. He is merely a useful idiot. Every freedom-loving American is now at risk for kidnapping, torture and execution thanks to the NDAA. The police are being federalized, FEMA camps are being activated, the Constitution is on the verge of extinction and Obama is poised to begin WWWIII as a pretext to usher in martial law and cement his control over us as our military dictator. 

Many people think that their actions will not draw the watchful eye of our increasingly corrupt and dangerous government. Before some of you go back to the football game, take a look at the following groups that the government categorizes as domestic terrorists according to the Homeland Security inspired MIAC report:

• Domestic terrorists support Ron Paul
• Libertarians and Constitutionalists are domestic terrorists
• Domestic terrorists don’t believe the official explanations for 9/11, Ruby Ridge, Waco and the Oklahoma City bombing.

Jamie Dimon, the highest-paid chief executive officer among the heads of the six biggest U.S. banks, turned a question at an investors’ conference in New York this month into an occasion to defend wealth.

“Acting like everyone who’s been successful is bad and because you’re rich you’re bad, I don’t understand it,” the JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) CEO told an audience member who asked about hostility toward bankers. “Sometimes there’s a bad apple, yet we denigrate the whole.”

Dimon, 55, whose 2010 compensation was $23 million, joined billionaires including hedge-fund manager John Paulson and Home Depot Inc. (HD) co-founder Bernard Marcus in using speeches, open letters and television appearances to defend themselves and the richest 1 percent of the population targeted by Occupy Wall Street demonstrators.

If successful businesspeople don’t go public to share their stories and talk about their troubles, “they deserve what they’re going to get,” said Marcus, 82, a founding member of Job Creators Alliance, a Dallas-based nonprofit that develops talking points and op-ed pieces aimed at “shaping the national agenda,” according to the group’s website. He said he isn’t worried that speaking out might make him a target of protesters.

‘Feels Lonely’

The organization assisted John A. Allison IV, a director of BB&T Corp. (BBT), the ninth-largest U.S. bank, and Staples Inc. co- founder Thomas Stemberg with media appearances this month.

“It still feels lonely, but the chorus is definitely increased,” Allison, 63, a former CEO of the Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based bank and now a professor at Wake Forest University’s business school, said in an interview.

At a lunch in New York, Stemberg and Allison shared their disdain for Section 953(b) of the Dodd-Frank Act, which requires public companies to disclose the ratio between the compensation of their CEOs and employee medians, according to Allison. The rule, still being fine-tuned by the Securities and Exchange Commission, is “incredibly wasteful” because it takes up time and resources, he said. Stemberg called the rule “insane” in an e-mail to Bloomberg News.

“Instead of an attack on the 1 percent, let’s call it an attack on the very productive,” Allison said. “This attack is destructive.”

Income Tripled 
The top 1 percent of taxpayers in the U.S. made at least $343,927 in 2009, the last year data is available, according to the Internal Revenue Service. While average household income increased 62 percent from 1979 through 2007, the top 1 percent’s more than tripled, an October Congressional Budget Office report showed. As a result, the U.S. had greater income inequality in 2007 than China or Iran, according to the Central Intelligence Agency’s World Factbook.

Not all affluent Americans are on the defensive. Billionaire Warren Buffett, 81, chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., has called for increasing taxes on the wealthy, as has Patriotic Millionaires, a group whose supporters include Ask.com co-founder Garrett Gruener and Peter Norvig, director of research at Google Inc., according to its website.

“Rich businesspeople like me don’t create jobs,” Nick Hanauer, co-founder of aQuantive Inc., an online advertising company he sold to Microsoft Corp. for about $6 billion, wrote in a Dec. 1 Bloomberg View article. “Let’s tax the rich like we once did and use that money to spur growth.”

Two out of three Americans support raising taxes on households with incomes of at least $250,000, according to a Bloomberg-Washington Post national poll conducted in October.

Schwarzman, Paulson
Asked if he were willing to pay more taxes in a Nov. 30 interview with Bloomberg Television, Blackstone Group LP (BX) CEO Stephen Schwarzman spoke about lower-income U.S. families who pay no income tax.

“You have to have skin in the game,” said Schwarzman, 64. “I’m not saying how much people should do. But we should all be part of the system.”

Some of Schwarzman’s capital gains at Blackstone, the world’s largest private-equity firm, are taxed at 15 percent, not the 35 percent top marginal income-tax rate. Attacking the banking system is a mistake because it contributes to “a healthier economy,” he said in the interview.

Paulson, the New York hedge-fund manager who became a billionaire by betting against the U.S. housing market, has also said the rich benefit society. 

“The top 1 percent of New Yorkers pay over 40 percent of all income taxes,” Paulson & Co. said in an e-mailed statement on Oct. 11, the day Occupy Wall Street protesters left a mock tax-refund check at its president’s Upper East Side townhouse.

‘Going to Vomit’
Tom Golisano, billionaire founder of payroll processer Paychex Inc. (PAYX) and a former New York gubernatorial candidate, said in an interview this month that while there are examples of excess, it’s “ridiculous” to blame everyone who is rich.

“If I hear a politician use the term ‘paying your fair share’ one more time, I’m going to vomit,” said Golisano, who turned 70 last month, celebrating the birthday with girlfriend Monica Seles, the former tennis star who won nine Grand Slam singles titles.

Ken Langone, 76, another Home Depot co-founder and chairman of the NYU Langone Medical Center, said he isn’t embarrassed by his success.

“I am a fat cat, I’m not ashamed,” he said last week in a telephone interview from a dressing room in his Upper East Side home. “If you mean by fat cat that I’ve succeeded, yeah, then I’m a fat cat. I stand guilty of being a fat cat.”

An Open Letter Of Apology To President Barack Obama

Dear DEAR President Obama,

Now that you have signed the National Defense Appropriation Act into law giving yourself the power to arrest and imprison any American indefinitely, I want to tell you how very very very very very sorry I am for all those nasty things I wrote about you. Name-calling is never appropriate and I should have known better, especially when I compared you to Benito (“Three cheers for war!”) Mussolini for making undeclared wars in Africa. In retrospect, I was way off base. Since the NDAA nullifies the Constitution, you might agree with Mussolini’s viewpoint, “Mankind is tired of liberty” but that’s definitely where the comparison stops. Mussolini was a fat slob whereas everyone can see you are the leanest, trimmest, handsomest president we’ve had in the White House since JFK, maybe handsomer.

Likewise, I’m exceedingly sorry I wrote U.S. forces in Afghanistan are killing innocent people every day. I know that is not their intent. As Hermann Goring once said, “I am in the habit of shooting from time to time and if I sometimes make mistakes, at least I have shot.” Since comparing your actions to a top Nazi is odious, let’s just say as the noted American gangster Mickey Cohen once boasted, “I never killed a man that didn’t deserve it.” Sure, it’s technically an “assassination” to execute people without a trial but your suspects were fingered by the CIA. We need to keep in mind you’re striving to reduce terrorism, not necessarily uphold the law for, to quote J. Edgar Hoover, “Justice is incidental to law and order.”

If the CIA had the smarts to grab you right out of college and give you a job, I’d be surprised they could be so mistaken as to order the execution of innocent people. The late President Nixon may have said of them, “What the hell do those clowns do out there in Langley?” but what did he know? Actually, you can now take comfort from Nixon’s words, “When the president does it, that means it’s not illegal.”

Anyway, while I’m apologizing to you, please tell the CIA I take back all those nasty things I wrote, saying they’re the world’s biggest criminal syndicate ever, and comparing it to the Ku Klux Klan for operating in secret, kidnapping and lynching. We all know the CIA’s critics do tend to exaggerate. Some say the Agency’s overthrown 30 countries by force and violence when it’s probably been just 26 or so. As ex-CIA Director William Colby once said, “I have definitional problems with the word ‘violence.’ I don’t know what the word ‘violence’ means.” At times, the Agency may have run amok here and there but at least it showed its smarts by not copying the KKK’s cross burnings, which definitely would have made us look bad in Muslim countries.

So I’m glad you refused to prosecute CIA torturers. Incidentally, when the Agency destroyed its torture flicks, it didn’t prove obstruction of justice so much as not wanting to make Hollywood producers look like action movie amateurs. Imagine a scene in which a CIA agent says of a waterboard victim, “He sleeps with the fishes” and it’s for real, not fictional like in “The Godfather.” When you leave the White House, you might consider Hollywood. You’d grasp the true meaning of Samuel Goldwyn’s words, “A verbal contract isn’t worth the paper it’s written on” because without a Constitution now everything’s gonna be verbal.

I also apologize for describing you as the moral opposite of Rev. Martin Luther King, because he was anti-war while you have been making wars at the drop of a bomb. Whose to say MLK would criticize your wars in Libya, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, and Yemen, right? And that’s just a half dozen countries out of 200, so what’s the big deal? You’re only trying to be friendly as you expand the number of U.S. military bases abroad. We’ve only got 900. As JFK’s Secretary of State Dean Rusk, once said, “While we are sleeping, two-thirds of the world are plotting to do us in.” Or as Billy the Kid warned: “I see many enemies around and mighty few friends.”

As for my disparaging you for assuming “king of the world” powers of life-and-death over all human beings on the planet, well, while that’s technically true, I know you are not the sort of guy to actually exercise those powers, even if misguided liberals do mock you as “President O’Bomber.” The NBA is always advertising the good its players do in their communities and you’re a basketball player yourself, right? I mean, indiscriminate killing is not something an NBA player would do, is it? So, logically, you wouldn’t do it, either. Actually, I think that if you had the desire to play basketball professionally you obviously would have been a top star like Dwayne Wade or Kobe Bryant. Am I right, bro’? You don’t mind if I call you bro’, do you?
In closing, I think you can take satisfaction knowing that you outperformed the Nixon regime, whose Henry Kissinger once said, “The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little bit longer.” The fact is, after only three years in office you have inspired 300 million Americans to be on their very very best behavior, or else, no mean achievement. Officials Warn of Weaponized H5N1 Bird Flu Pandemic Amid Debate

As predicted, government advisory board officials are warning of bioterrorist attacks that could result from the full release of a study detailing how virologist Ron Fouchier mutated the bird flu virus to potentially transmit quickly between humans.

If the findings are released, scientists are warning that the virus could mutate to mimic past pandemic flu outbreaks such as the Spanish flu of 1918-1919 which killed 50 million people.

Virologist Ron Fouchier of the Erasmus Medical Center in the Netherlands seeks to publish his work in the journals Science and Nature, though United States government officials from the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity have asked the journals to exclude the specific details of the study that could lead to the replication of the experiments. So far the editor of Science has agreed to withhold some data under the circumstance that the government sets up a medium to provide the withheld data to scientists around the world who ‘need’ it.

What Dr. Shirley McCune was saying at the end of Part 3 is a fulfillment of what Arthur Calhoun wrote in the third volume of his 1919 book, A Social History of the American Family, in which he proclaimed: “The modern individual is a world citizen, served by the world, and home interests can no longer be supreme…. As familism weakens, society has to assume a larger parenthood. The school begins to assume responsibility for the functions thrust upon it…. The kindergarten grows downward toward the cradle and there arises talk of neighborhood nurseries…. Social centers replace the old time home chimney…. The child passes more and more into the custody of community experts…. It seems clear that at least in its early stages, socialism will mean an increased amount of social control…. We may expect in the socialist commonwealth a system of public educational agencies that will begin with the nursery and follow the individual through life…. Those persons that experience alarm at the thought of intrinsic changes in family institutions should remember that in the light of social evolution, nothing is right or valuable in itself.”

At about the same time, McCune delivered the main speech at an Aurora, Colorado “in-service” teachers session, and according to a teacher there, McCune proclaimed: “Radical change is necessary now; you cannot escape it…. Strategies and behaviors must be changed because the dawning of this new age is far more significant than the transformation of the national and world economics which is taking place…. The [new] Information Society will touch every aspect of our lives. It will shape a new social character or person who views the world in very different ways…. The schools will become the training institutions whose function it is to affect all other sectors of society—economic, social, and political.” 

And what kind of radically changed, restructured New Age society and education did Dr. McCune have in mind? In her co-authored The Light Shall Set You Free (1996), she talked about a “point of light,” and stated: “Only the souls who are ready to receive the new curriculum will elect to raise their vibrations to match those required to enter the New Age…. Did you know that the animals’ souls are the souls of our future children?... We are entering the Age of Aquarius…. The goal for all of humanity who will enter the new millennium is to become androgynous…. Educational systems, businesses, political structures and governments all built on self-serving principals, for example, are crumbling, only to be reborn through tremendous pain into higher forms.” At about the same time Dr. McCune co-authored this book she was a research assistant in School-to-Work at Arizona State University, and then she became an administrative assistant to the Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State of Washington. 

Much of the information in her book is alleged to have been channeled through the authors by “Ascended Masters,” including one called “El Morya, Master.” And this is where there is an international connection. 

For decades, the U.S. has poured millions of U.S. tax dollars into the U.N., and for decades while Secretary-Generals came and went, Robert Muller remained an Assistant-Secretary-General. While at the U.N., he began the Robert Muller School in Arlington, Texas, and his schools are in over 25 nations and are members of the UNESCO Associated Schools Project. A description of Muller’s school from its own document states that: “The underlying philosophy upon which the Robert Muller School is based will be found in the teachings set forth in the books of Alice A. Bailey by the… teachings of M. Morya….” This is the “El Morya, Master” mentioned in Dr. McCune’s book, and Alice Bailey was the leading occultist of the first half of the 20th century. Bailey wrote often about a coming “new world order” and “points of light” connected to service. Her first works were published by Lucifer Publishing Company, which became Lucis Trust, now located at 120 Wall Street in New York City. 

That Dr. McCune is a New Age proponent who on November 2, 1989 had used the term “human resource development” more than once is perhaps significant in that earlier in that year, New Age networking Sen. Claiborne Pell had introduced Senate Joint Resolution 135, the “National Commission on Human Resource Development Act,” co-sponsored by Senators Al Gore and Nancy Kassebaum. The resolution was to establish the Center for Human Resource Development and spoke of the “normal aspiration of all citizens to more fully achieve their potential in body, mind and spirit…. [and] there is a role for government to assist in research and education on techniques that promote the… fuller realization of human potential.” Testifying for the measure was Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School, who explained the “relaxation response” as experienced by those who practice Zen, Yoga and Transcendental Meditation. The resolution probably would have passed the Senate except that Senator Dan Coates put a “hold” on it and it died.

Before continuing with the subject of education, I will digress briefly to describe the effect of the New Age upon the presidency. Not only did Newsweek refer to Bill Clinton as the first “New Age President,” but the “Renaissance Weekend” he had attended for years was referred to by The New York Times as a “New Age Retreat.” Then, in a front page article in The Washington Post (June 23, 1996), Bob Woodward wrote that Hillary Clinton “seemed jerked around by the muddled role of first lady, as she swung between New Age feminist and national housewife.” Woodward was excerpting from his new book, The Choice, and recounted that at Camp David on the weekend of December 30, 1994, Bill and Hillary Clinton invited people to dissect the first 2 years of his presidency and search for a way back from the Democrats’ Congressional defeat in November of that year. Woodward related that Jean Houston “played a significant role over the weekend and the year that followed…. Hillary and Houston clicked, especially during a discussion of how to use the office [of the presidency] for the betterment of society.” 

Houston is a New Age researcher in psychic experiences and altered consciousness, who has visited and worked in 36 countries under the auspices of UNESCO, and who spoke on “The Rise of the New Right” at the National Education Association convention in 1979. She has been a Director of the syncretistic Temple of Understanding, and has spoken to the National Catholic Educational Association annual convention several times. On March 14, 1989 she spoke on “Whole System Transition: The Birth of the Planetary Society” to the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) annual conference (the day after New Age former U.N. Assistant Secretary-General Robert Muller spoke to the ASCD on “Educating the Global Citizen: Illuminating the Issues,” which was the conference theme). Houston along with John Naisbitt (remember Shirley McCune’s connection to him, and McCune also participated in the 1989 ASCD conference) and Elsa Porter (President Jimmy Carter’s Assistant Secretary of Commerce) founded “The Possible Society,” which in 1985 sponsored a seminar in Denver re-creating The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, with Houston employing trances, etc., and saying “You are simply God in hiding. You must achieve your potential Godhood.” This same year Newsweek published “The Megatrends Man” (September 23, 1985) about John Naisbitt, and in the article referred to “the crowd of 200 or so mostly New Age enthusiasts…. Senator Albert Gore of Tennessee, a friend of the Naisbitts and one of the invited speakers, got into the swing of things by submitting that it was time to ‘re-think the nation-state system’” (In Gore’s book Earth in the Balance, he says: “Nature in its fullest is God.”) In Jennifer Donovan’s article “Creating Mythos of the Modern World” (San Francisco Chronicle, March 19, 1985) about Jean Houston, Donovan wrote that Houston was “A showman and shaman… calling what she does ‘priestcraft’.”

In Bob Woodward’s Washington Post article mentioned above, he also wrote: “Houston and her work were controversial because she believed in spirits and other worlds, put people into trances and used hypnosis, and because in the 1960s she had conducted experiments with LSD…. [Houston] conducted extensive dialogues with Athena [pagan Greek deity] on her computer.” Woodward then indicated that while Houston did not use any of these aforementioned techniques on Bill and Hillary Clinton, Houston at the White House in April 1995 did put Hillary through a visualization exercise, asking Hillary to shut her eyes and visualize meeting Eleanor Roosevelt. Woodward wrote, “Houston regarded it as a classic technique, practiced by Machiavelli, who used to talk to ancient men.” Hillary was then asked by Houston to play the part of and speak as Mrs. Roosevelt, and then Houston asked Hillary to visualize speaking to Mahatma Gandhi. Woodward revealed that in October and November 1995, “Houston virtually moved into the White House residence for several days at a time to help” with Hillary’s book It Takes A Village. And Woodward concluded the article by writing “Houston wondered what might happen if her role as advisor and friend to the first couple became public. ‘If I ever get caught,’ Houston asked Hillary, ‘what should I say?’ ‘Just tell the truth,’ Hillary replied, ‘Just tell them you’re my friend.’”

According to the Encyclopedia of Occultism & Parapsychology, Houston and her sexologist husband, Robert Masters, developed something known as “the Witches’ Cradle.” In March 1968, the NTL Institute (mentioned earlier in this article), presented a week-long seminar by Jean Houston and her staff titled “The Myth and Mystery of Isis and Osiris: A Journey of Transformation.” And in 1995, Houston authored The Passion of Isis and Osiris: A Union of Two Souls. Given that Bob Woodward felt it important to show Hillary’s connection to Houston and Houston’s “dialogues with Athena,” one must wonder why the press did not explore Bob Dole’s being a Shriner “noble” of Isis Temple (Isis was a pagan Egyptian deity) for some 40 years in Salina, Kansas. And given that Athena is important to Jean Houston, it is relevant that The Encyclopedia of Mythology indicates Athena “played a predominant role in the construction of the Trojan Horse, which she was said to have dreamed up.” Could it be that Jean Houston introduced the “Trojan Horse” of New Age spirituality into the White House and society at large to change the nation’s consciousness away from Judeo-Christian moral absolutes? Remember, New Ager Dr. Shirley McCune said: “What we’re into is the total restructuring of society.”
